The next episode of A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 12, titled “Junior,” hits several tough conversations. Gary Mendez’s (James Roday Rodriguez) dad, Javier Mendez (Paul Rodriguez), comes for a visit and brings conflict. Meanwhile, Eddie Saville (David Giuntolli) begins to suspect something is going on with Katherine Kim (Grace Park) and another man. Things get more intense as the drama ramps up to the end of the season finale.

A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 12 returns tonight, May 5, 2021, with “Junior.” Then ABC brings the series back again the following week for episode 13, “Listen.” The network did not announce a finale date for the series, yet. A Million Little Things Season 2 had 19 episodes, while the first season only had 17. Since the COVID-19 slowed production this year, it is likely that the series won’t have as many episodes for season 3.

Since Eddie’s hit and run, he began taking prescription drugs, and things quickly escalated. He finally told his wife; however, Catherine decided she couldn’t handle it all anymore. She broke down to her friend and fellow lawyer, Alan Kay (Terry Chen). She made a move to kiss Alan, and viewers can see the chemistry between them. Meanwhile, Eddie headed off to rehabilitation for his addiction.
Also, this season, Gary ended up taking care of Delilah Dixon’s (Stephanie Szostak) two teenage children. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, she was on a trip with her father to Europe. However, they extended their stay because her father broke his hip and the international borders began closing. Gary made a conscious decision to learn from his difficult upbringing and make a difference in the lives of Delilah’s children.

When Gary’s dad enters the picture on A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 12, viewers get a little tense. From the new episode’s promo, it’s evident that things are not wonderful between Gary and his father.
“I’ve been asked to take care of these kids,” Gary tells his father in the preview. “I’m happy to have you come by and visit, but I am not going to have you upset them.”
While things look tense in that preview, creator DJ Nash told Entertainment Weekly that Gary’s dad might say something inappropriate, but he has a huge heart. Javier is a little “dated” in his ways, with an “audacious sense of humor.”
In the episode’s description, viewers find out that Gary’s dad connects with Darcy (Floriana Lima) over his experience in the Vietnam War. Things might be OK with Gary and his father, but Eddie and Catherine’s marriage is on the rocks. In the episode promo, Eddie knows that Catherine is “with him.” Fans see that he is correct when a scene of Catherine and Alan making out flashes across the screen.
