ABC’s family drama created by DJ Nash finally released the A Million Little Things Season 4 trailer. The ensemble cast returns, including David Giuntoli, Romany Malco, Allison Miller, Christina Moses, Christina Ocha, Grace Park, and Stephanie Szostak. However, things seem strange for James Roday Rodriguez’s character, Gary Mendez. In the A Million Little Things Season 3 finale, viewers thought he might kill someone, but the new trailer tells a different story.

‘A Million Little Things’ Season 3: What did Gary do to Peter?

In the A Million Little Things Season 3 finale, Gary went to see his dad, Javier Mendez (Paul Rodriguez), to thank him for never leaving him. He also apologized for changing his name. Gary cried and told his father that he didn’t want him to think that he rejected his dad by changing his name.

“In this country, it’s easier to be a Gary than a Javier,” his father responded.

Then Gary told his dad that he needed him to be his alibi if anyone asked. The two men corroborated their stories, and then Javier told his son that he was proud of him. However, the A Million Little Things Season 4 trailer doesn’t mention why Gary needed that alibi.

At the conclusion of A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 18, Danny comforted her while Delilah cried on the couch. Meanwhile, Sophie (Lizzy Greene) told her story on Maggie’s podcast.

“I know you tried to take something away from me, but you didn’t,” Sophie told listeners. “I think everyone should know your name. It’s Peter Benoit.”

At the same time, Gary went to Peter’s house and threw a burlap bag over his head. While the drama suggested that Gary was about to kill Peter, many viewers thought that he would only try to scare the man. Hopefully, he didn’t do anything rash that landed him in prison.

‘A Million Little Things’ Season 4 promo trailer

In the A Million Little Things Season 4 promo trailer, Gary and Delilah hug and make up after their fight over the move to France. However, he tells the mother of three to find her own ride to the airport. So, she may still be moving to France.

“I have such an incredible support system around me,” Sophie says in another podcast.

A clip of Delilah and Sophie dancing and then hugging flashes onto the screen, so it seems like mother and daughter made up as well. In another scene, Maggie Bloom (Allison Miller) celebrates something in her apartment.

Meanwhile, a clip of Gary kissing Darcy’s hand flashes onto the screen. She’s leaning on a suitcase, and it looks like the two might be saying, “Goodbye.” However, it isn’t a sad goodbye, and viewers feel that their relationship is going strong.

Rome (Romany Malco) and Regina Howard (Christina Moses) also have a silly but heartfelt moment. Then the whole gang comes together for a party. Eddie Saville (David Giuntoli) looks happy with his and Delilah’s daughter, Charlie, on his lap. Even Katherine (Grace Park) smiles during the party.

What did Gary do?

After watching the A Million Little Things Season 4 trailer, it looks like Gary didn’t get jail time for whatever he did to Peter Benoit. Hopefully, he only scared the man and didn’t hurt him. However, the ABC press release teased a little more information.

“In the final moments of season three, the guilt and anger Gary felt over Sophie’s assault led him to the doorstep of the man responsible,” read the ABC press release. “As we unpack the events of that fateful night, we’ll watch Gary fight to preserve his friendships and, most importantly, the future that he’s been longing for with Darcy.”

At least viewers know that Gary didn’t kill the man, or he would be in jail in the promo. However, it looks like there are some repercussions. He must “fight” for his friendships and relationship with Darcy. Although the A Million Little Things Season 4 trailer looks happy, the underlying drama is at work.

A Million Little Things Season 4 returns to ABC on Sept. 22, at 10 p.m. EST.
