Actor Checked With Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs Before Filming Sex Scenes With Cassie in ‘The Perfect Match’
Hip-hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs is in hot water following the Homeland Security raid on two of his properties and the footage that shows him physically attacking Casandra “Cassie” Ventura. Combs and Ventura dated on and off from 2007 to 2018. Recently, footage from a hotel hallway shows Combs hurting Ventura as she tries to get away from him.
Now, we’re looking back to when Venture filmed sex scenes with actor Terrence J for the film The Perfect Match. Here’s what she said about J checking in with Combs about the scenes.

Casandra “Cassie” Ventura is a singer, dancer, actor, and model who infamously had an on-again, off-again relationship with Sean “P. Diddy” Combs from 2007 to 2018. Ventura alleged in a 2023 lawsuit that Combs raped and abused her through the years, but the exes settled a day after the lawsuit hit Combs. In March 2024, Combs’ two properties were raided by Homeland Security, bringing attention back to his questionable relationship with Ventura.
In 2016, Ventura starred in the romantic comedy The Perfect Match alongside Terrence J. She spoke on Good Day New York about how J talked to Combs before Ventura filmed her sex scenes for the film.
“He actually really trusted the situation,” Ventura said of Combs at the time. “He and Terrence spoke beforehand. … Terrence was a bit nervous. I told Puff about it, and he said, ‘Have him give me a call. So, he FaceTimed, and they had their man talk, and he said, ‘Make it believable. You guys this is gonna be a great movie for you.’ He’s proud of us, at the end of the day.”
During Ventura’s explanation, one of the newscasters interrupted her to verify that she dated Combs. “I typically don’t talk about my private life,” she said while confirming her relationship.

Terrence J reflected on speaking to Sean “P. Diddy” Combs about his sex scenes with Casandra “Cassie” Ventura in The Perfect Match. While speaking on Hot 97, J explained that he contacted Ventura about the “mysterious” role. Ventura then came in and “killed” two rounds of auditions, making the choice easy.
J explained that the movie had a “nudity writer” come to the studio, and that’s when he realized he and Ventura would have nude scenes together.
“Then, I’m really starting to think, like, damn, Puff is gonna kill me,” he said. “And I think Cassie felt that in rehearsals because Puff FaceTimed me and was just like, ‘Yo, Playboy, yo, you my little brother. I’m gonna be more mad at you if this movie’s whack than I am if you touch her, so make it look real; make it look authentic.’ And then, after that, it was just like, you know, we gotta do what we gotta do.”
Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura said she had ‘anxiety’ when watching back the sex scenes
Casandra “Cassie” Ventura spoke to E! News about the intimate scenes in The Perfect Match after the film came out.
“It’s work,” she said of filming the sex scenes with Terrence J and watching them back with Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. “I mean, obviously, there’s a little bit of anxiety with that, but Terrence is a good friend of mine, and Puff has been so understanding with everything. So, it’s good.”
