Actor LisaRaye McCoy Praises Kim Kardashian West for Not Publicly Bashing Kanye West
The divorce filing between Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West is said to be coming sooner than later. Kim is said to be “done” with the marriage and Kanye is also reportedly distancing himself from the Kardashian family. Actor LisaRaye McCoy is praising Kim for supporting Kanye publicly through their difficult times.

Page Six reported on Jan. 5 that a divorce between the Wests’ was imminent. At the time, a source told the publication that Kim tried desperately to save their marriage throughout Kanye’s public meltdowns in 2020.
However, a source alleged to multiple publications that an argument in Dec. 2020 proved to be Kim’s final straw. Kanye reportedly blew up on his wife and put the nail in the coffin.
Per Page Six, the soon to be divorced couple were in counseling to come to terms on a co-parenting agreement for their four children. Both Kim and Kanye allegedly agreed that the marriage was over and they’d been living separately for months – with Kim in LA and Kanye at his Wyoming ranch.
Now, The Jasmine Brand reports that the couple are no longer in counseling.
“They are just not on the same page when it comes to their future as a family and Kim is OK with it,” the source said. “Kim knows what she wants to do with her life. She wants to keep living in L.A., create the best life for the kids and focus on her work passions. Kim has become more independent and has lost patience with his antics, rants, the presidential campaign, and tweets.”
The source added: “The love story between Kim and Kanye has been over for a long time. They adored each other but have too many differences.”
LisaRaye McCoy says Kim Kardashian West stood by Kanye West during difficult times
During a chat about Kim and Kanye’s impending divorce filing on Out Loud with Claudia Jordan, McCoy, who is a co-host of the Cocktails with Queens segment, praised Kim for the way she’s handled the drama surrounding her marriage throughout the past year.
“You go through it wih your husband, they have a lot at stake here, they have four kids and I will say this – Kim has classily stayed with him because she could have really been spewing out some real ugliness because he’s been doing so,” McCoy said. “But she has not, she’s taken the high road. We know that they know how to control PR and she’s definitely done that. She looks like the princess.”

McCoy further explains that it’s apparent through Kim’s actions that she does truly love and care for Kanye. She also notes that it must be difficult for Kim to watch Kanye deal with his bipolar disorder on such a public level.
It’s unclear when the divorce between the two will come, or if it will, but McCoy says she believes Kim gave the marriage her all.
The 19th and final season of Keeping up with the Kardashians is set to begin airing on E! sometime this year.
