Adam Driver appeared as Kylo Ren (or Ben Solo) in several Star Wars movies. With new episodes of The Mandalorian expected to premiere on Disney+ in the coming months, some fans are wondering if Driver’s character will return to the galaxy far, far away.

Here’s what we know about this actor and his role in Disney’s films

Adam Driver portrays Kylo Ren in ‘Star Wars’ movies like ‘The Force Awakens’

This galaxy far, far away was filled with powerful Jedis, bounty hunters, and Sith Lords. One of the characters in the Star Wars sequel trilogy was Ben Solo, the son of Han Solo and Leia Skywalker Organa.

Although he started out as the ruthless leader of the First Order, this character eventually teamed up with the young Jedi, Rey, to defeat Darth Sidious. Kylo Ren was portrayed by Driver for movies like The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. He made his final appearance in the 2019 release, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Is Adam Driver in the Disney+ series, ‘The Mandalorian’?

The Mandalorian primarily stars Pedro Pascal as the title character, a bounty hunter who becomes a father figure to an adorable “Baby Yoda,” named Grogu. This unlikely duo traveled across the galaxy together, making new friends (and enemies) along the way.

This Star Wars series also featured actors like Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), and Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka Tano). There’s even a CGI version of young Luke Skywalker.

Although there are some characters from the original trilogy and even The Clone Wars series who make a reappearance in this Disney+ original, Driver and his character, Kylo Ren are not in seasons 1 or 2 of The Mandalorian

A chance encounter is not completely out of the question, though. This series takes place after the fall of the Empire, but before the rise of the First Order. That means that around this time, Ben Solo was starting his training as a Jedi with Luke Skywalker.
