Alex Rodriguez Gave ‘the Most Romantic Speech’ About Jennifer Lopez at Her Birthday Party
In 2019, Jennifer Lopez rang in her 50th birthday surrounded by her friends, family, and boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez. Attendees said the party was a raucous celebration of Lopez, with people dancing until the early hours of the morning. Before the party began in earnest, Rodriguez took time to give a romantic speech about his girlfriend.

In 2019, Lopez celebrated her 50th birthday at Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s estate in Miami. Her closest friends were in attendance and they watched as Rodriguez gave a speech about his girlfriend.
“Right before the buffet stations opened, Alex made a toast,” a source told People. “He thanked the Estefans for having them and said how proud he is of Jennifer on this tour.”
Ryan Seacrest was at the party and planned to leave early to make it back to New York in time to film Live With Kelly and Ryan. He revealed that the speech was so touching he didn’t want to leave and miss it.
“Well, A-Rod gets up and makes the most romantic, sweetest speech to Jen in front of everybody,” Seacrest said on Live With Kelly and Ryan (per People). “So, I’m sucked into the romance movie and I don’t want to leave.”
He shared a video celebrating her on social media
Rodriguez showed further appreciation for Lopez in a video he shared on social media. In it, he included clips of Lopez performing as well as moments they shared as a couple.
“Hi baby girl, just want to wish you a happy birthday,” he said, per Good Morning America. “Since we have been together, you have made me feel like every day is my birthday.”
He praised her as a partner, mother, and performer.
“Thank you for your passion and your energy and your inspiration and your endless pursuit to be the best at everything you do,” he said. “You’re simply the best partner in life, the best daughter, the best mother, the best performer.”
Lopez commented to share how moved she was by the video.
“I’m crying….I love our life…I love you so much… thank you my beautiful Macho…”

Lopez and Rodriguez were reportedly some of the last people present at the party, staying up dancing until the early hours of the morning. Rodriguez said he came to regret this the next morning. He posted on Instagram that he was “so sore” after the party.
“Jennifer’s done 28 shows in about 58 days,” he said, per Billboard. “She has two more here domestically here in Miami. Last night for her birthday, it was a big one, it was 50. I danced for about an hour and seven minutes. I couldn’t get out of my bed tonight. I’ve iced. I’ve done cryo. I got stretched. I got a massage. Steam. Sauna. I’ve been drinking coffee all day. I’m a mess.”
He said that Lopez, on the other hand, had no trouble bouncing back after the late night.
“She went out there and destroyed it in Miami. Killed it, like if she slept ten hours,” he said. “Am I the only one that can’t recover anymore? Does it suck to get old or what?”
