Is Coop alive in ‘All American’ Season 4?

The biggest cliffhanger of all was Coop’s fatal shooting. Throughout the season, Coop (played by rapper Bre-Z) was threatened by Mo’s presence. After Tyrone’s death, Coop speculated that Mo wanted revenge for her brother’s death.

Mo’s true intentions were masked by her willingness to change the Crenshaw community. But, Coop held her skepticism. In the end, she wanted to take away Coop’s future. For instance, Mo tried to have her arrested for possession of illegal drugs. But, when her manager (Mo’s accomplice) acts suspicious, Coop uncovers the plan and confronts her about it.

Coop tells Mo that she unloaded the drugs from the tour bus – before the authorities arrived. In a rage, Mo shoots her with a gun. Shortly after, Preach (J. Kareem Grimes) comes and shoots Mo. But it’s already too late. Coop collapses to the ground, shot in the abdomen. So, does she survive? We’ll have to find out in the next season.

What will happen to Layla?

After the season three finale, fans are wondering what will happen to Layla in All American Season 4. To recap, Layla’s friend from rehab, Carrie (Anna Lore), comes to stay with her. However, Carrie slowly starts to become obsessed with her.

Soon after, Layla starts to learn that her friend is unwell. When she calls Carrie’s parents, they warn her and say she’s “dangerous.” Determined to get help for her friend, Layla agrees to drive Carrie to her parent’s house. However, Carrie had a different plan. Before their trip to Tahoe, Carrie impersonates Layla and writes a goodbye letter to her father. Also, she throws Layla’s phone in the garbage. So what is Carrie’s plan? Is Layla in danger?

What’s next for Asher?

One of the most devastating revelations was Asher’s heart condition. Before the state championship game, Asher’s father comes into the locker room and delivers some horrible news. Asher has a heart condition called cardiomyopathy, which means he can’t play football anymore. After earning a scholarship to his dream college, Asher doesn’t take the news lightly. In a rage, he bursts into tears and screams. Without football, what is next for Asher Adams? Hopefully not a bleak, dim future.

South Crenshaw and Beverly made it to the state championship. While this should be a joyous occasion, tensions have never been higher. Before the game, both teams fight after learning Spencer (Daniel Ezra) may have shown Jordan (Michael Evans Behling) their plays. But, this altercation puts both teams in jeopardy. In an attempt to save the game, Coach Montes (Alexandra Barreto) and Coach Baker (Taye Diggs) lie about the fight, saving the teams from elimination.

Many fans are wondering who will take home the gold. Will Spencer bring home the championship for South Crenshaw? Or, will Bevelery win the title for the second year in the row? For now, fans will have to wait and see.

‘All American’ showrunner says the fourth season will answer some burning questions

Ahead of the All American Season 4 premiere, showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll reassures fans that the season will “fill in the blanks” for what happened. In an exclusive interview with TVLine, Carroll promised fans that they would get their questions answered.

“What we can promise the audience is we will fill in the blanks of what happened,” she said. “This is not going to be a season-long guessing game of where things ended up after the cliffhangers. Those questions will be answered in the first episode.”

Additionally, she revealed season four would serve as a “rebirth” for the characters. “We will see a ripple effect through a number of characters as they are changed, and their directions pivot – and maybe even life priorities change as a result of the cliffhangers,” Carroll added.

All American Season 4 premieres on Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
