The main cast of ‘All of Us Are Dead’ Season 2 announce their return to the K-drama
Netflix’s Geeked Week announced to K-drama fans that All of Us Are Dead will continue the story in a new season. The announcement video consists of its leading actors dressed in their school uniforms on set. Actor Yoon Chan-young, who played Lee Cheong-san, kicks things off by showing his gratitude toward fans who made the K-drama gain global fame.
Actor Park Ji-hu, who played Nam On-jo, asks fans if they have heard the good news. Park Solomon, who played Lee Su-hyeok, announces All of Us Are Dead Season 2 is in the works. The real teaser for the new season was revealed by Cho Yi-hyun, who played Choi Nam-ra.
In a rough translation, the actor explains, “What will happen in All of Us Are Dead Season 2? My friends are waiting for me, so I’m going to leave now.” Her statement could allude to the jaw-dropping cliffhanger ending involving her K-drama character. Because the video also includes actor Yoon, it teases his K-drama character’s story is not over yet.
The announcement video does not reveal an official premiere time frame or date. Fans know the main actors will return, but it is unclear if other vital characters will.
The second season will likely answer fans’ questions about the survivors and Nam-ra
Based on the cliffhanger, fans were eager to know if All of Us Are Dead Season 2 was in the near future. The K-drama’s storyline centered on a zombie outbreak in Hyosan High School. A science teacher’s experiment to help his bullied son spreads by accident. The virus infects the school as the main characters battle to survive as their closest friends become their worse enemies.
The K-drama has some unanswered questions by the finale. Fans theorized how the virus worked and who or why certain people became different mutations. Nam-ra and others were infected but able to hold on to their humanity and become immortal.
In the finale, the surviving characters learn Nam-ra is alive and well. She has no physical indicators of being a zombie but still has enhanced strength and agility. But she explains others survived and live in the ruins of the town. When she jumps off the school roof, the characters look off-camera in utter shock at who or what they are seeing.
To the Korean Herald, Director Lee Jae-gyu revealed his plans for the second season and the future of the Jonas virus. “The next season can talk about the survival of zombies,” said Lee. Fans will finally get their answers to their theories and the fate of the survivors and if Cheong-san is alive.
