Now, fans want to know what’s in store for episode 3. Here’s everything we know about the plot, the cast, and the release date of the third episode of the spinoff.
[Spoiler alert: Spoilers ahead for American Horror Stories Season 1 Episodes 1, 2, and 3.]
When does ‘American Horror Stories’ come out? Episode 3 release date
Fans can already watch American Horror Stories Season 1 Episodes 1 and 2, as they’re available on Hulu. Episode 3 premieres via the streaming service on Thursday, July 22, at 3:00 a.m. ET.
The first two episodes of the series, “Rubber(wo)Man Part One” and “Rubber(wo)Man Part Two,” were released to Hulu on Thursday, July 15, 2021. The episodes featured the “murder house” fans know and love from the first AHS season. Sierra McCormick plays Scarlett, a young teen moving into the infamous home with her two fathers. She finds the rubber suit in her closet, which unveils her darker nature. After getting bullied by other teens at school, she wears the rubber suit to kill them and bury them in the walls of the home.
In the second episode, we meet Sierra’s dead love interest who was previously murdered in the house. Ruby, played by Kaia Gerber, falls in love with Scarlett. Unfortunately, Scarlett wants to leave the murder house and not die there to remain with Ruby. Ruby allows Scarlett to leave, making Scarlett one of the few who enters the home without dying.
Episode 3’s plot centers around a drive-in movie theater
The first two episodes of American Horror Stories centered around the murder house. But the third episode will switch gears entirely. According to Hulu, episode 3 is titled “Drive In.” The description states, “A screening of a forbidden film has disastrous consequences.”
The original trailer for the spinoff series showed bits and pieces of “Drive In,” too. “It’s a cinematic experience,” a character, seemingly from the episode, states. Then, the trailer pans over to rows and rows of cars at a drive-in theater as a movie plays. Behind a fence, a woman screams, “Don’t look!” From there, everyone appears to run away from the film, abandoning their parked cars.
Given the thumbnail photo for the episode from Hulu, a woman named Mrs. Gore is also giving a conference in “Drive In.” “We are concerned about the effect of violent content on our society,” she states in a speech.
So, who is part of the episode 3 cast? The official Twitter page for the series notes Rhenzy Feliz, Madison Bailey, John Carroll Lynch, Leonardo Cecchi, Kyle Red Silverstein, Ben J. Pierce, Amy Grabow, Adrienne Barbeau, Brandon Papo, and Naomi Grossman will star.
‘American Horror Story’ Season 10 is also on the horizon
Fans who enjoy the spinoff will also look forward to any and all news surrounding American Horror Story Season 10. The new season of AHS premieres Aug. 25, 2021. The title of the season is Double Feature. According to Murphy, the season features two different stories.
“Two horrifying stories … one season,” Murphy’s Instagram post states. “One by the sea … one by the sand. More to come ….”
The first episode of the season is reportedly titled “Cape Fear,” and it allegedly takes place in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The popular Cape Cod destination has plenty of monster lore surrounding the “Black Flash.” It’s safe to assume the first episode of the season will center around this urban legend.
We’re excited to hear more about the new season, and what’s to come with the spinoff.
