Ana Navarro Shares Sweet Photo of Her Dog Chacha With ‘Tía’ Whoopi Goldberg and Fans Say It’s Cuteness Overload
Ana Navarro is a regular guest co-host on The View and makes appearances throughout the week. The political commentator has a close relationship with Whoopi Goldberg and always has her back during heated moments of the show. Navarro recently shared an adorable photo between the EGOT legend and her dog ChaCha that has fans exploding with cuteness overload.
Whoopi Goldberg gets greeted by ChaCha
Goldberg was off The View after making controversial statements about the Holocaust. The show’s moderator was placed on a two-week suspension and finally returned to the show on Monday, Feb. 14. On that episode, Navarro was a guest co-host and the political commentator always travels with her dog ChaCha. The latter has her own Instagram account and a new photo appeared where she was giving Goldberg some cuddles on the day she returned to the show.
“I love my Tía Whoopi,” Navarro captioned the photo on ChaCha’s Instagram account referring to Goldberg as her aunt in Spanish.
It wasn’t long before ChaCha’s fans weighed in on the series of photos that provided so much joy to everyone that saw the amazing chemistry with Goldberg.
“Even Chacha is happy Whoopi is back — see that smile,” a fan replied.
“I love Whoopi too! Welcome back,” a follower added.
“Tía is a wonderful lady,” an Instagram user said.
“Chacha we love you and your Tia Whoopi,” another fan mentioned.
“Cuteness Overload,” another follower commented.
“ChaCha welcoming Whoopi back, so sweet. You are a treasure ChaCha,” another Instagram user noted.
Whoopi Goldberg addresses her suspension
Goldberg was forced to take a two-week break after controversial comments about the Holocaust. Although the show’s moderator apologized, ABC News President Kim Goodwin thought it would be best Goldberg be off the show to reflect on what happened. When the Sister Act star returned, she addressed her absence as soon as the show started.
“I am back… And I missed you all too,” Goldberg said. “I’ve got to tell you, there’s something kind of marvelous about being on a show like this because we are The View and this is what we do. And sometimes we don’t do it as delicately as we could… But it’s five minutes to get in important information about topics. And that’s what we try to do every day. And I want to thank everybody who reached out while I was away.”
Goldberg went on to say that a lot of people reached out to her and she thought “it was amazing” adding that she was “very grateful” and hoped it would keep “all the important conversations happening.”
“It is an honor to sit at this table and be able to have these conversations because they’re important,” Goldberg continued. “They’re important to us as a nation, and to us more so as a human entity. So, happy Valentine’s Day, y’all! And we’re going to get started because that’s what we do.”
After Goldberg addressed her absence, the panel got back into the “Hot Topics” and continued with their show. However, that same episode produced another viral moment but this time Joy Behar was at the eye of the storm when she snapped at her co-host, Sara Haines.
