Ana Navarro Confirms Return To ‘The View’ for Season 24
Ana Navarro is the Republican that fans adore on The View. The charismatic and hilarious Nicaraguan-born political analyst always brings joy to the “Hot Topics” segment. Not only is she fair and balanced, but she is also quick-witted and has made some iconic moments on the daytime talk show. Viewers will be happy to know that Navarro will be returning to the show during the season 24 premiere week.
Ana Navarro’s comeback is happening
Navarro is set to make a comeback to The View on the first week the show is back from hiatus. When the program started airing live episodes on Fridays, Navarro was signed on as a regular guest co-host as Whoopi Goldberg took the day off.
When the pandemic hit, production of the show shifted and all the co-hosts started broadcasting from home. Friday shows were seemingly pre-recorded and Navarro’s appearances were far less. During the coronavirus times, Navarro has not been a regular presence on the show and fans have missed her.
However, with the new season upon us, The View’s official Twitter account confirmed the Latina strategist would be appearing with Eva Longoria.
“Loving the idea of being on with mi linda amiga Eva Longoria next Friday on The View,” Navarro posted on Instagram. “Eva, time to get off the damn beach. We gotta work.”
‘The View’ Season 24 has changes
With the new season premiering in September, The View will have an addition to the cast. Sara Haines is returning as a co-host after leaving back in 2018 for the extension of Good Morning America alongside Michael Strahan. The entertainment show was recently canceled and replaced with a coronavirus-oriented newscast.
“I grew up watching ‘The View,’ and what this show stands for — different women, different backgrounds and different points of view — just speaks to my soul,” Haines told ABC. “I feel like I caught a shooting star twice. To once again be a part of the dialogue where I can share, discuss and disagree alongside these powerful and strong women is a tremendous honor. I feel very lucky.”
Haines brings a unique perspective to the ABC talk show and is a welcome return by fans with her sunny personality. The TV personality will not have a hard time adapting as she has done it before.
“[Haines] brings a lot of zest to the conversation, in addition to being very relatable at the same time,” senior executive producer Hilary Estey McLoughlin told Deadline.
Is Meghan McCain leaving?
A lot of the talk has shifted toward Meghan McCain as the celebrated co-host is pregnant. Many fans have strong sentiments toward the conservative star and have asked if she is coming back after having her baby. The question annoyed the Republican commentator when she was asked during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
“Why does everyone ask me if I’m getting fired or quitting every 20 seconds?” she told Andy Cohen. “No other host has to deal with this BS. Yes, I’m coming back. It’s an election cycle.”
Producers of the show don’t plan on replacing McCain while she is on maternity leave. Instead, they will have guest co-hosts substitute for her.
The View premieres on Tuesday, September 8 at 11 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. CT/PT on ABC.
