Filming on season 3 of And Just Like That… has wrapped. The iconic reboot will return for its third season in 2025, but fans are already wondering exactly what they can expect from Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York. While the production team has kept the storyline under wraps, we have some theories and a guess as to exactly when the season will premiere.

What can fans expect from season 3 of ‘And Just Like That…’?

Season 1 of And Just Like That… was pretty heavy. The death of Mr. Big in the premiere episode left a dark cloud over the first season, as Carrie was left adrift without her longtime love. Season 2 brought back much of the fun of the original Sex and the City. There was plenty of romance, too. We are expecting more of the same from season 3. Still, recent comments from Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis, who play Carrie and Charlotte, respectively, suggest we should expect some “big” moments.

Season 3 will draw in several brand-new characters, including three new men. From the looks of it, no new love interest for Carrie Bradshaw will stick around long-term, though. John Corbett, the actor who portrays Aidan Shaw, has been spotted on set several times, suggesting his role will be just as significant in season 3 as it was in season 2 of the reboot, despite the “pause” he requested during the season 2 finale. We think her love story with Aidan will dominate once again.

Charlotte York appears to be happily married to Harry Goldenblatt, just as they were last season. Finally, it appears Miranda will continue her quest to find the right words to describe her sexual preferences. It’s unclear how much, if at all, her ex-husband, Steve Brady, will factor into season 3.

When can fans expect to see season 3 of the series?

Max has yet to give And Just Like That… season 3 an official premiere date. Instead of providing an official premiere date, the streaming service provider simply revealed that a 2025 release is expected. Still, we can make an educated guess based on the timeline for previous seasons.

Season 2 of And Just Like That… began filming in October 2022. The cast finished production in April 2023, filming through the winter which was a bit out of character for the cast. Season 2 of the series premiered on June 22, 2023. There were roughly two months between the end of filming and season 2’s premiere.

Season 1’s production followed a similar trajectory. The cast began filming in July 2021. They were spotted all over New York City for several months. While no one spoke definitively about the end of filming, it appears the cast wrapped things up in October 2021. The series premiered in early December of the same year.

If season 3 of And Just Like That… follows the same timeline, fans are likely to see the series in January 2025. According to the show’s Instagram account, the final day of filming for the show’s third season was Oct. 31, 2024. Max will likely announce the show’s official premiere date about a month before it becomes available for viewing. Previous seasons’ episodes were released weekly. We expect the same for season 3.
