Andrew Garfield is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in Hollywood right now, and not just because of his recent return as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home. He was nominated for an Oscar for his leading role in Tick, Tick… Boom!, and the actor is the star of the upcoming Hulu drama, Under the Banner of Heaven. And although he is a busy man, Andrew Garfield is desperate to share the screen with his Spider-Man co-star, Tobey Maguire, again.

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ brought Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire together

Unfortunately, rumors and leaks spoiled the return of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Garfield repeatedly denied his involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film. But most fans knew he was in it before going to the theaters.

The two former Spider-Man actors reprised their roles as Peter Parker to help Tom Holland’s character in the third MCU Spider-Man movie. After Holland’s Peter Parker and Doctor Strange accidentally fractured the multiverse, Garfield and Maguire’s characters arrived in the MCU along with a few Spider-Man villains. The three Spider-Men teamed up to fix the villains. And along the way, they also learned a lot from one another.

Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Men interacting and fighting will certainly be a significant moment in cinematic history. Fans are still raving over their scenes in Spider-Man: No Way Home months after its premiere, after all.

Andrew Garfield ‘would love’ to work with Tobey Maguire in the future

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Under the Banner of Heaven, Andrew Garfield expressed his desire to share the screen with Tobey Maguire again. The two actors have become good friends following Spider-Man: No Way Home and they even go to the movie theaters together.

“I would love to work with Tobey again!” Garfield shared. “He’s such a great actor and a good buddy, and I just love him. I love spending time with him … [Seeing Everything Everywhere All at Once] was great fun. And I would love to make something with him, for sure.”

Hopefully, for fans’ sake, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will appear on the big screen together again one day.

Will Andrew Garfield ever suit up as Spider-Man again?

Perhaps Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire could share the screen as their respective Spider-Men again. According to an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Garfield would “never say never” to playing Peter Parker in the future.

“It’s a character that’s always going to be so meaningful to me, and so beautiful to me, and again, it comes back to service,” the actor explained. “I think if there’s a way … Because that’s what that character is all about, he’s all about serving the greater good and serving his fellow people, serving humanity and all life.”

Garfield continued, “So, if there’s a way for me to continue to add to the legacy of that character in a way that feels like it’s of service to an audience, of service to the themes that Stan Lee injected that character with, I’m open, of course, I’m very, very open. But it would have to be very, very special. It would have to be very, very meaningful and fun, and joyful, like doing No Way Home was.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available to own on Digital, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD.
