People confirmed that The Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion is officially canceled after rumors started swirling late last week. Now, Andy Cohen is speaking out.

Cohen opened up during an appearance on Reality Checked with Kiki Monique. He confirmed that a reunion would not occur, but he insisted that it was just fine and that fans would be satisfied.

The Bravo executive insists that everyone came to the collective decision that the finale serves as the perfect wrap-up for the season. While he refused to give away more information, he claims fans will understand once they see the finale.

Cohen said the finale is so intense that fans will talk about it for a long time. When rumors of the canceled The Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion began swirling, it was suggested that Bravo was looking for an alternative wrap-up, but it sounds like the network will be airing the finale and nothing more. Cohen said it is like the “last supper.”

Could ‘RHONJ’ get the same treatment as ‘RHONY’?

While Cohen attempted to reassure fans that they’ll be happy with what they see in the season finale, his use of the term “last supper” raises questions about what the franchise might look like moving forward. The most recent season felt inorganic and choppy the season feels now that cast members refuse to film together. The rating seems to confirm the drop in quality.

How Many Original Cast Members are on ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Season 14?

One possibility is the entire cast gets dropped in favor of a reboot, much like Bravo did with The Real Housewives of New York City. While a complete refresh wouldn’t be the worst thing, some Housewives can return, with some cast shakeups. For now, either Teresa Giudice or Melissa Gorga should go. However, neither is interested in departing the series willing, though.
