Andy Cohen Finally Answers if ‘RHOP’ Is Due for a Cast Shakeup in Season 6
One of the most celebrated franchises on Bravo is The Real Housewives of Potomac. The reality series keeps on delivering season after season and fans never get tired of praising it. Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Monique Samuels, Candiace Dillard, and Wendy Osefo make up the cast for season 5. However, with things getting violent on the show Andy Cohen is finally answering if the show is due for a shakeup.
Are the ‘RHOP’ stars getting replaced?
RHOP is the first franchise to have four of its OG stars make it through five complete seasons. Huger, Bryant, Darby, and Dixon have delivered groundbreaking storylines and iconic lines that keep fans wanting more. As the majority of the cast has remained mostly intact, there are rumors that there will be some changes in the near future.
Viewers happy with the lineup can rest-assured though, executive producer Cohen is confirming that he doesn’t feel the cast will change.
“I think that’s one of the reasons why Potomac is so great,” Cohen said on the Everything Iconic podcast.
The Watch What Happens Live host also added that casts from the New Jersey and Dallas franchises will not see much changes either for their upcoming seasons.
“I think we’re in a great run with RHONJ right now. It’s a great mix,” he added. “We’ve brought new people over the years [and] it’s interesting to see how they’re relating to each other. I love this Jersey cast so much and I love what’s happening in Potomac. And Dallas is similar, too. It’s a really good group.”
Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels feud
The feud that shocked RHOP was the one between Dillard and Samuels. Things got so heated between the two that they ended up in a physical altercation that was intense. After the fight, Samuels and Dillard opted not to film with each other which will make for an interesting dynamic on the series. So far, Samuels was not invited to the cast trip and sat the vacay to Portugal out.
Dillard was poking at Samuels about the animosity between them earlier in the season. When the latter reached a boiling point, she reached over and pulled on Dillard’s hair and didn’t let go. Dillard says that she doesn’t feel she did anything to warrant being physically assaulted.
“I maintain that I did nothing to deserve being physically attacked,” Dillard posted on Instagram. “That’s a separate conversation than the one regarding whether or not I did anything to contribute to the altercation.”
“When we want to have a conversation about accountability in engaging in contentious arguments — you’ll see more of that later this season — but I absolutely contributed with my verbal gymnastics to this incident,” Dillard continued. “And if every time someone says something that the other doesn’t like, we want to justify it with physical violence, we have a problem. But let’s double and triple down some more on what I ‘deserved.’”
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
