As far as A-listers go, Angelina Jolie is unrivaled to most. Her long lists of success go as far back as when she was a child staring in Lookin’ to Get Out alongside her father, Jon Voight, and extend into her achievements in directing today. She’s hardworking, ambitious, talented, committed, and prioritized above all — a mom of six.

Getting into the groove of changes put in place in light of the pandemic, Angelina Jolie opens up to fans about the struggles of being a traditional stay-at-home-mom and how her resilient kids are the reason for her success.

Angelina Jolie has a long list of successful roles

You’ll find there’s no shortage of achievements regarding Jolie and her track record in acting. Since becoming a star in the ’90s, she has had enough offers in Hollywood to suit her for decades, making it easy for her to pick and choose her roles.

Being able to adjust to a diverse number of characters has also helped broaden her selection. If you haven’t noticed, just take a look at the major differences in appearances throughout her roles, not to mention the incredible changes in accents as well.

MsMojo says Jolie stands out among the rest in ten roles, particularly — Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Maleficent, The Tourist, Salt, Wanted, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Gia, Changeling, The Bone Collector, and Girl, Interrupted

With that being said, Angelina Jolie had several performances to choose from, and fans can find a reason for every single one of them to be her best. When it comes down to it, she simply knocked it out of the park in all her roles.

Angelina Jolie is a mom to six kids

Successful career aside, Jolie has also put the same commitment and dedication into being a mom of six. From oldest to youngest, she and Brad Pitt’s children are Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and 12-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. Jolie has always been open about the fantastic relationship she has with her mom, many times saying they were like best friends. With her own kids, she hopes for the same.

Joking about hanging with her kids, Jolie told Vogue’s Edward Enninful, “They think that I’m a bit ridiculous, as they should. They all know me in different ways. You know, they’ve all crossed into that moment when they realize that there’s nothing special about me. I’m just older. I don’t have all the secrets. I just mean well.”

Fans sometimes get a sneak peek into Jolie’s life, but she’s usually pretty good about keeping certain things out of the media. However, recently, she opened up with British Vogue to talk about life as a mom and her challenges with the ‘traditional stay-at-home mom’ requirements.

“Well, I was never very good at sitting still. Even though I wanted to have many children and be a mom, I always imagined it kind of like Jane Goodall, traveling in the middle of the jungle somewhere,” Jolie says of her typical days. “I didn’t imagine it in that true, traditional sense. I feel like I’m lacking in all the skills to be a traditional stay-at-home mom. I’m managing through it because the children are quite resilient, and they’re helping me, but I’m not good at it at all.”

With respect to her unconventional take on traditional roles in her career, it’s no surprise Angelina Jolie isn’t much cut out for being a traditional stay-at-home mom. In all honesty, it’s more fitting that she’s not. She’s still clearly doing something right though, considering her kids are so well-behaved and generous.
