Angelina Pivarnick Nearly Quit ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’: ‘I’m Tired of the Lions’ Den’
Due to the stress of filming Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Angelina Pivarnick nearly quit the MTV series. She admitted “I’m tired of the lions’ den” that comes along with being part of the reality television show.
Angelina Pivarnick almost quit ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’
Angelina Pivarnick says that sometimes, filming MTV’s Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is “stressful.” After seven seasons, the reality television star told Us Weekly she “almost quit” the series.
“I almost quit, actually,” Angelina explained. “I actually called them and said, ‘I don’t think I can do this’ because I know people are mad at me.”
She shared, “I don’t want to keep walking into lions, dens, cages, whatever you call it. I want happiness in my life. And no matter what, I don’t feel like anyone sees things from my eyes and my perspective of stuff.”
The reality star wishes some of her castmates would ‘accept’ her
Angelina Pivarnick has clashed with nearly every member of the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast. Some of these life-altering spats have been headline-makers, while others are reserved for the long-running reality TV series.
Her strong personality and ability to not sugarcoat her feelings can make relationships difficult with some of her castmates. However, Angelina believes that as they’ve all known each other for over a decade, none of their personality traits are new to each other.
“I’m saying, in general, I need some people to give me some grace. Let me live. Stop always trying to judge me. I am who I am,” she said. “These people have known me for 15 years, and I think that’s also what hurts the most. You got to accept somebody for who they are after a while.”
Angelina revealed fan commentary about her status as a cast member can hurt as well. “You know what people could be like, ‘Oh, we don’t f****** like her, and we can’t wait until she gets off the show.’ And I see all those comments too, and that also hurts because I am part of the show whether nobody wants to give me credit or not.”
However, there are some good times too during filming. Those are the moments Angelina clings to when times are tough. She concluded, “That’s another thing too. I’m like, ‘Why can it always be like this? The fun Angelina [and] the happy Angelina is hilarious.’ I want to get back to that.”
Angelina Pivarnick said she won’t be watching this season of ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation just debuted the second half of season 7. This is a milestone for the franchise, as the original series only had six seasons.
However, while speaking with Page Six, Angelina Pivarnick said she wouldn’t be watching this season but would live tweet with fans throughout the episode.
She said she wouldn’t watch because she doesn’t want to relive any of the issues between herself and castmates Mike Sorrentino, Vinny Guadagnino, Paul DelVecchio, Jenni Farley, Nicole Polizzi, Sammi Giancola, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. She also didn’t want to rehash her relationship issues with fiancé Vinny Tortorella.
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on MTV.
