Angelina Pivarnick ‘Won’t Back Down’; Says Deena Cortese Should Be ‘Ready for the Fire’
The drama surrounding Angelina Pivarnick‘s Jersey Shore: Family Vacation wedding continues to be a hot topic, but not because Pivarnick wants it to be. The blame is on her roommates — namely Deena Cortese — for keeping the drama alive.

While celebrating Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s birthday, Cortese, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and Jenni “JWoww” Farley mimicked the speech they gave at the wedding. This time, the jokes were tailored to fit Sorrentino, like “you’re the head to our wall.” Afterward, Sorrentino made a comment to his wife, Lauren Pesce: “I don’t know honey, should we go outside and flip out?”
Polizzi put the toast on Instagram Live, which sparked a debate on social media. Some fans found the reprisal of their speech comical. Others were disappointed with the way the roommates seem to linger on the negativity that came out of Pivarnick’s wedding. One Pivarnick fan account was particularly disturbed.
Angelina’s fans attacked Deena for encouraging ‘The Situation’
After the video went viral, Cortese came under fire from a Pivarnick fan account. “[Deena] tugging at Mike as if she told him to say, ‘Should we go outside and flip out?’ I do not understand this,” the account tweeted. A seemingly frustrated Cortese responded.
Cortese revealed how, after Pivarnick’s wedding, she and her castmates were allegedly receiving threats for what they said in their speech. Cortese said she is frustrated that Pivarnick “continued to play the victim” and make Cortese, Polizzi, and Farley “look terrible to people” instead of explaining what happened.
Pivarnick retaliated by replying to Cortese: “I’ve been getting death threats since 2009,” she tweeted. “And I still get them to this day. I can’t control what people write to you or what they write to me. You are always going to have trolls commenting and saying stupid sh*t. Don’t blame for other peoples’ actions.”
Angelina says Deena is to blame for the drama
Pivarnick married Chris Larangeira in November 2019. As fans well know, the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast had a falling out after the wedding. All of the drama that spawned from that day resurfaced when the season finale of season 3 aired in June 2020.
Regardless of what the other roommates said, Pivarnick announced that she would return for season 4 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. A few weeks later, she shared a since-deleted Instagram post that confused fans.
The article linked in Pivarnick’s post led fans to an article from Celeb Magazine. It contained an interview with a “Jersey Shore insider.” They discussed Pivarnick’s “quitting” the show, saying: “Angelina is a tough girl and she is not afraid of any of the people on the cast. She 100% is not quitting, so if that’s there intention — to scare or bully her into quitting — it’s not going to work.”
The insider also commented on Cortese’s tweet. “Angelina had no problems anymore with Deena, but it seems Deena wants to spark drama with her again,” they explained. “Angelina is never one to back down from a fight — especially when she knows she’s right — so if Deena wants to spark something, she better be ready for the fire.”
Fans have mixed feelings about the feud between Cortese and Pivarnick. Cortese has yet to speak out about whether or not she will return for season 4. But considering she said she “[couldn’t] care less” if she ever sees Pivarnick again, her return is unlikely.
