Love is in the air in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Wedding Season 2022 has begun, so players can head over to Harv’s Island all month long to earn special wedding-themed rewards. Here’s a complete guide to the Animal Crossing wedding event, including everything to know about heart crystals.
What is Wedding Season in ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’?
Wedding Season takes place for the entire month of June at Harv’s photography studio. When you first log into the game this month, you should receive a call from Harvey. He’ll ask you to meet him at his studio, so head over to Dodo Airlines to catch a flight to Harv’s Island.
Reese and Cyrus, the owners of the Re-Tail furniture business, will be there to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Your goal is to set up wedding scenes and take photos of the couple. You have the freedom to decorate however you’d like, but Reese will have a few requirements in the first few days. There are also two types of scenes to create: the wedding ceremony and the reception.
You can return to Harv’s Island every day for the entire month to set up different scenes and earn a currency called heart crystals.

What’s the deal with heart crystals, anyway? Every time you complete a photo session, talk to Cyrus before you leave to collect heart crystals. They should appear in your mailbox later. Once you’ve earned enough, you can exchange the crystals for wedding-themed furniture and clothing, again by talking to Cyrus.
As Animal Crossing World notes, the number of daily heart crystals you receive will depend on how you decorate the wedding scene. In the first six days of the event, you’ll have limited options for furniture. Then, on day 7, you’ll unlock customizations for each item. Reese and Cyrus will give hints about the theme they’re looking for every day, so make sure to pay attention. For example, Reese might ask for a chic wedding, so you should customize the furniture to the chic theme.
In the first week, you can earn anywhere from four to 14 heart crystals. Then, for the rest of the month, you have the chance to earn up to 18 or more heart crystals every day. The easiest way to max out heart crystals is to place the same wedding item repeatedly, such as the Wedding Bench.
