Josh Duggar’s sentencing hasn’t been easy on the Duggar family or his wife, Anna Duggar. Anna remained by Josh’s side through his arrest, trial, and now, his sentencing. But Duggar followers wonder what her relationship with Josh’s side of the family is like now. According to a source, Anna remains close with the Duggar family in 2022.

Are Josh Duggar’s parents supporting him? What to know after Josh Duggar’s sentencing

Josh Duggar’s trial and sentencing seemed to divide the Duggar family. Certain family members, like Joy-Anna Duggar and Jill Duggar, took to social media to show their support for the justice system holding Josh accountable for his crimes. But what do Josh’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, think?

After the guilty verdict, the Duggar family parents issued a statement. “This entire ordeal has been very grievous,” they noted “Today, God’s grace, through the love and prayers of so many, has sustained us. Our hearts and prayers are with anyone who has ever been harmed through CSAM [child sexual abuse material].” Furthermore, they wrote that they will always love Josh and will continue to support Anna Duggar however they can.

Before Josh’s sentencing, Michelle wrote a letter to the judge requesting a light sentence. She calls him “tender-hearted” and a “diligent worker” in the letter, offering some support to Josh.

Anna Duggar reportedly still keeps in touch with the Duggar family

Where does the Duggar family stand with Anna Duggar after Josh Duggar’s sentencing? A source told In Touch that Anna is “coming to grips” with Josh’s lengthy 12.5-year sentence. Additionally, she’s relying heavily on both her side of the family and the Duggars to help her through the current difficulties.

“Anna’s family, the Kellers, have rallied around her, but she’s still close to the Duggars, too,” the insider explained. “She hasn’t turned her back on her in-laws.”

Amy Duggar, a cousin of the Duggar family who’s spoken heavily against Josh, isn’t in contact with Anna. Amy took to TikTok to share that Anna will not get back to her — and she even suggested that Anna may have blocked her number.

“Her phone is either being monitored, it’s been taken away, or it’s off,” Amy said. “I have tried everything. … She has my number unless it’s deleted, I don’t know, or blocked. That could be it too. Haven’t thought about that. But anyway, I’ve tried. So, now I’m just like, she doesn’t have to suffer alone, and I feel like this whole thing is just more than anyone could possibly take.”

Josh Duggar Still Hasn’t Been Transferred to Prison — Here’s Why

Anna Duggar’s originally from Florida, as it’s where she and Josh Duggar tied the knot. As for her parents, Mike and Suzette Keller, it seems they still live there. Anna occasionally visits Florida with her seven children, likely to see her parents.

Anna’s brother, Daniel Keller, has never liked Josh, and he made his disdain known well before Josh’s arrest. People reports he called Josh a “pig” on Facebook in 2015 during an earlier scandal.

“I told her I would go get her and her children stay [with] me,” he wrote. “She said she’s staying where she’s at. But I won’t stop trying to get that pig out of our family.”

It’s unclear what Anna’s relationship with her brother is like today, but hopefully, she’s gaining support on all fronts now that her husband won’t return for over a decade.
