Anna Duggar Says Josh Duggar is a ‘Diligent Worker’ After Pregnancy Backlash From Duggar Family Fan
Duggar family followers know all about Josh and Anna Duggar. The couple was once featured on TLC along with the rest of the Duggar family, but they’re no longer regulars on Counting On due to Josh’s past scandals. Now, Anna’s defending Josh on her Instagram after a fan questioned how the couple makes enough money to feed their growing family.

Counting On fans long suspected Anna and Josh were expecting their seventh child. The couple already has six little ones, and they’ve made it known they want a big family. Finally, on April 23, Anna posted a small video clip to Instagram announcing the pregnancy. The clip shows Josh and Anna together in a field as pink confetti rained down on them. Their other six kids run all around them as the confetti bursts in the sky.
“It’s a GIRL!!!!!” Anna captioned her post. “We are overjoyed to announce baby seven is on the way and we can’t wait to hold her in our arms this fall!”
So, when is the baby due? While Anna didn’t give a specific date just yet, she noted she was giving birth in the fall, so likely the end of September or October. In another Instagram post, she reiterated the baby would arrive in the fall. She’s also getting plenty of love from other members of the Duggar family.
“So excited for you all!” Jana Duggar commented.
“Another girl!!!” Joy-Anna Duggar added. “Congratulations!!!”
Anna responded to a Duggar family fan who called out Josh Duggar
While the Duggar family is overjoyed to welcome another baby, fans expressed their concern. Many still have their reservations about Josh after all the harm he caused in the past. In 2015, his molestation scandal came to light, and he also was unfaithful to Anna.
Now, Counting On fans are asking Anna if Josh can provide for seven kids. It doesn’t look like Anna works outside of the home, and the couple isn’t getting any reality TV paychecks.
“How do you afford all those kids?” a fan asked Anna on Instagram, according to Reddit. “Does Josh even work?”
To that, Anna answered, “Yes, my husband is a diligent worker and provides well for our family.”
What is Josh Duggar’s job?
Unfortunately, Duggar family critics don’t agree with Anna’s assessment of Josh. Back in 2016, Josh and Anna reportedly purchased a foreclosure for just $55,000, and they sold the property in 2019 for $285,000, making a good profit. But after they sold the home, it was suspected they were living in a warehouse on Jim Bob Duggar’s property. And there hasn’t been any indication they moved off of the Duggar property since.
“If he was a diligent worker who provided well, they wouldn’t be stuck in his parents’ warehouse,” a Reddit user commented.
As for Josh’s job, he worked at the Family Research Council in Washington prior to 2015. But he later worked as a car salesman, and he ran into trouble with his lot. In November 2019, Josh’s lot was raided by Homeland Security for a “criminal investigation.” He also had to pay $5,000 in legal fees after losing a lawsuit unrelated to the investigation.
We’re sure Anna will continue to defend Josh in the future. For now, we’re looking forward to hearing more about the upcoming baby.
