Why Anna Kendrick Once Felt It Would Be ‘Super Awkward’ to Run Into Ryan Gosling

Anna Kendrick once tweeted about a crush she’d had on Ryan Gosling. In the tweet, the young actor made a sexual joke about herself while watching Gosling’s 2012 film, Gangster Squad. The tweet received a lot of attention from audiences. But with how big the joke had become, Kendrick expressed a bit of concern about Gosling’s possible reaction to it.
“Thank God I’ve never been in a room with him [Ryan Gosling],” Kendrick once told Nylon. “I don’t feel embarrassed, though. I’m sure he has a sense of humor. But I’d probably feel like I’d have to address [the tweet], and I’d end up saying something to make it much, much worse.”
She delved into these feelings a bit further in an interview with Cosmopolitan. At the time, the Pitch Perfect star still hadn’t met Gosling.
“Now, at this point so much has been made of it,” Kendrick said. “ I do feel bad because I just thought of the joke. And then I thought, ‘Well, what’s in theaters right now?’ And it was Gangster Squad. So, I thought I’d use Ryan Gosling as an example. I didn’t realize it would become such a thing, and now I’m dreading being in the same room with him and going, ‘Congratulations with your baby.’”
But Kendrick also hoped that Gosling would have a good sense of humor about the joke.
How Anna Kendrick reacted to her Twitter being hacked
Kendrick doesn’t hold back on her social media, and The Accountant actor shared that she isn’t concerned about anyone’s opinions about it.
“I don’t give a f***,” Kendrick said. “Twitter is only 140 characters. There’s really not much that I could reveal, then regret later.”
But as what’s happened with some celebrities, Twitter did briefly land the actor in hot water after her account was hacked. The Hollywood Reporter noted the account sent off several offensive and insensitive tweets seen by millions of her followers. Eventually, Kendrick was able to take back control of her Twitter account. And was actually a bit thankful that the hacking took place.
“Well, the fun thing about getting my Twitter briefly hacked is that people I hadn’t heard from in years reached out to let me know,” she tweeted out. “So, I guess thank you to my hacker for a little anxiety, and for getting me back in touch with my high school friend James. Cheers, James.”

Despite joking about a crush on Ryan Gosling, Anna Kendrick might have formed a true relationship with Bill Hader, People reported. According to a source, Kendrick and the Barry creator have been dating under the radar for quite a while now.
“Anna has been dating Bill quietly for over a year,” the source alleged. “They met years ago. She’s hosted Saturday Night Live and they’ve done a movie together, but they got together well after the movie.”
The source also claimed that the pandemic helped hide their relationship from the general public.
“They are both very private people, and with the pandemic it was easy to keep it quiet,” the source continued.
