Anna Paquin Posts Against Bisexual Erasure and Marriage With Stephen Moyer
Lovers of True Blood know Anna Paquin is married to Stephen Moyer. The actor recently posted about her marriage and bisexual erasure for pride month. This is what she had to say, and what the couple is up to now.
Anna Paquin posts against bisexual erasure
It’s Pride Month, so the television star shared her own pride posts. She shared a post for International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. Her next post read, “Hey! FYI (for those unaware) June is LGBTQIA+ pride month. So the folks who put their bigotry on display in the comment sections of my recent posts why don’t you hit that unfollow button right now.”
She shared photos of some of the biphobic comments she was getting next. The True Blood star then talked about her own experience.
Paquin shared a rainbow post on Instagram with black words that read, “I’m a #proudbisexual who is married to a wonderful human who happens to be a man.” She then captioned it with, “If he doesn’t have a problem with it why should anyone else?”
Her next post shows someone with the words “It’s not a phobia you’re just an a**hole” on their cheek. Paquin captioned it with, “@mattxiv I would love for us to come up with a term that doesn’t paint the bigots as victims of ‘fear’…. Thoughts?”
Anna Paquin defended her marriage to Stephen Moyer
Paquin got married to her True Blood co-star in 2010. They have two children together named Poppy and Charlie.
Larry King once asked her if she was a “non-practicing bisexual.” The actor answered, “Well, I mean, I am married to my husband, and we are happily monogamously married.”
He then said, “So, you were bisexual?” She replied, “I don’t think it’s a past tense thing.” Paquin pointed out if a straight person breaks up with someone or gets into a relationship, it doesn’t change their sexuality.
“I also grew up on movie sets. You kind of see a lot of everything. I just never thought it was a big deal,” she later said.

True Blood ended in 2014, and the married couple moved on to other roles. Paquin is currently playing Robyn on a show called Flack. Her character is a publicist representing celebrities who are in terrible situations.
Moyer is also on television playing Vern Lang on Fortunate Son. The actor previously played Reed Strucker on The Gifted for two seasons. He will also be in multiple movies. A reboot of True Blood is currently in early production. The cast for the show has yet to be revealed.
