Are Antoni Porowski and Miz Cracker Friends?
Okay, it’s time for dinner and a makeover. RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10
Miz Cracker was on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’
She’s thin, she’s white, and she’s salty, but she’s also a fan-favorite from RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10. Miz Cracker made a name for herself by celebrating her Jewish heritage, eating snacks around the world, and creating a popular YouTube series, Review with a Jew.
Aside from her YouTube series Review with a Jew and performing live shows, Miz Cracker keeps busy in the kitchen and on Bon Appétit’s YouTube page.
Miz Cracker was invited to the Bon Appétit kitchen to cook with Carla on her series, Back-to-Back Chef. She returned a second time to make her family’s version of latkes and a third time, to help the host with her family’s recipe for Friendly sandwiches.
Antoni Porowski is on Netflix’s ‘Queer Eye’
He’s known as the resident food and wine expert on Netflix’s original series Queer Eye. There, he inspires heroes to cook nutritious and delicious food on a time constraint and on a budget. Antoni Porowski is more than just that, though.
Antoni Porowski is a restaurant owner, taking partnership in the New York City eatery, The Village Den. The restaurant specializes in food for people with unique dietary choices and restrictions, including veganism, vegetarianism, and gluten-free diets.
The chef previously got in drag for his performance on Lip Sync Battle, where he and his co-stars, Tan France and Bobby Berk, dressed as Brittney Spears.
The duo celebrated pride with ‘them’
Both Miz Cracker and Antoni Porowski have a love of food. It’s only natural that the duo paired up for a makeover video. On June 4,
Miz Cracker partnered with designer Christian Cowan to bring together Antoni’s Powerpuff-inspired look. Antoni squeezed into the dress before the final reveal. Miz Cracker glued down the wig, she threw on some heart shaped glasses and shablam, Eva Cado was born.
Within a few days, the video earned thousands of views. Antoni’s co-star, Tan France, commented on his Instagram picture, screaming praise for Miz Cracker’s work. Fans on Twitter also thanked the duo for their visibility and their honesty.
“[Create] a Miz Cracker weekly show where she interviews celebrities while putting them in drag and after cook something together with Carla from Bon Appétit,” said one Twitter user.
“So many reasons there are as to why I loved this so much. Miz Cracker and Antoni your dialogue was so real, inspiring, and reminded me I can feel pride in being fluid/bi. No more shame! Thank [you], to all involved,” said one Twitter user.
Antoni Porowski and Miz Cracker will be celebrating pride all month long, Miz Cracker performing live shows and Antoni working on his restaurant in New York City. Antoni’s book, Antoni in the Kitchen, releases in September 2019.
