Are Big Sean and Jhene Aiko Back Together?
There are certain celebrity couples that really worm their way into the hearts of fans. When those couples split, it’s like the fans are going through a breakup as well.
After a string of failed relationships, it seemed like rapper Big Sean had finally found the one when he started dating songstress Jhene Aiko. The two went everywhere together and released some hit songs with one another. Aiko even got Big Sean’s face tatted on her arm. If that isn’t love, then what is?
But sadly, for reasons mostly unknown to the public, Aiko and Big Sean decided to call it quits in March of 2018. But now, have the two rekindled their love?
Big Sean and Jhene Aiko’s relationship
Big Sean and Aiko began dating in 2016. They got so close that they even released a joint album, Twenty88.
But when Aiko got her tattoo of Sean’s face covered, fans started to think that something was up. In March of 2018, she finally addressed the rumors.
“Me and Sean are good,” she wrote to a fan in an Instagram comment. “I’ve got tons of love for him. I know you all love the drama and would like to think everything I do or say is about him but I’ve been through plenty of other things and situations that I pull inspiration from when I sit down to create a song.”
In July of this year, Sean tweeted about finding himself while being single.
“I never knew that I didn’t know how to be alone in life,” he wrote. “I always would find so much joy and happiness in a relationship or being with friends, but I didn’t know how important it was to be in a relationship with yourself.”
“There’s beauty in being your own source of happiness and fun and working on yourself,” he wrote in a follow-up tweet. “That’s the process I been going through personally and it can be a scary thing.”
“But when you work on yourself and bring your best self to something, I believe that’s truly how to experience a love where you are bringing happiness and joy and not dependency,” he said.
Are Jhene Aiko and Big Sean back together?
The two artists have seemed to be working their way back to one another lately. When Big Sean posted a tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle, Aiko commented on the post, telling Sean how much love she has for him.
“You are so special to me, to the world,” she wrote. “While we are both still on this planet I just want to say I love you beyond measure. Even though I get big mad and you trigger the f–k out of me, you make me feel and I appreciate that.”
In November, the two teamed up again and released “None of Your Concern,” where Sean openly admitted that he wanted Aiko back.
“You know there’s not a day in these modern times, you haven’t crossed my mind,” he rapped in the song. “We both cross the line, seems like I needed you more than I needed myself.”
Since then, the two have been attending events together like Diddy’s 50th birthday party, which just goes to show that if they aren’t officially together yet, then they are definitely heading in that direction.
