Are Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich Heading for a Divorce?

Even the most picture perfect couples experience a few obstacles in their relationships.

As of late, Julianne Hough and her husband, Brooks Laich, have been going through some changes in their lives, some of which have caused them to rethink the idea of marriage.

With them now questioning their relationship, many people are certain the couple is heading toward divorce and couldn’t be more heartbroken.

Are Hough and Laich reaching the end of their journey together or does their marriage still have a chance at being saved?

The pair has been going a rough patch in their marriage lately

Hough and Laich have many of us believing love is officially dead after news of their marital problems surface.

On January 8, sources revealed that the former Dancing With the Stars pro and the Canadian hockey player have been “spending time apart” after experiencing issues in their marriage.

“They have been spending time apart but are not ready to share what’s going on between them,” a source told E! News. “They don’t even really know what to call it. There’s a ton of love and emotion there and they are going through something very personal.”

While this news took many fans by surprise, others had a feeling there was trouble in paradise, especially after Hough’s recent appearances without her wedding ring.

Split rumors then kicked into high gear when the pro dancer appeared to have spent the holidays solo and didn’t sport her ring while cohosting NBC’s New Year’s Eve special with Carson Daly.

A few days after that, Laich drove split rumors even further when he took to Instagram to open up about some changes he’s making to his life in 2020.

“I feel a new stage of life calling me,” he wrote. “And though I don’t exactly know what it is yet, it feels right, and exciting!”

They want to work through their issues

While many are certain Hough and Laich are close to calling it quits, others are now questioning split rumors after seeing the pair’s recent reunion.

On January 9, Hough was spotted picking up the professional athlete from the airport, where they shared a passionate embrace before hopping into the car.

Their sweet reunion comes one day after a source told People that Hough was reconsidering marriage, seeing as though she is “a completely different person now.”

“Julianne wants to become a new age, free-spirit, no boundaries guru, and she is living her life by this sort of ‘no limits, no rules’ mantra, and that doesn’t vibe with being a wife,” the source said.

“It’s still complicated because she loves Brooks and she always will — she just thinks she is a completely different person than she was when she married him,” the source continued. “She’s had a total awakening and transformation, and it’s ongoing, and she isn’t able or interested in going back to who she was.”

Although the former America’s Got Talent judge isn’t too sure about the married life anymore, insiders report that she and Laich are refusing to give up.

After being married for two years, the couple has established a bond that will take a lot more than a few marital issues to break.

“Julianne and Brooks care a great deal about each other,” one insider shares,” adding that there’s still “a lot of love and kindness” between the duo.

As for whether or not the pair’s looking to get a divorce, it is still to early to really tell.

With both of them having just come together after spending time apart, sources say that the pair plan on talking through their issues before “making any final decisions.”

“They are navigating through the up and downs of this relationship together,” a source shared. “They prefer to deal any issues privately because they share many friends and family and they wouldn’t want to involve them in their relationship challenges.”

We hope this is just a small bump in the road for Hough and Laich and are optimistic that they will get through any issues they’re currently facing.
