Are Olivia Culpo and Danny Amendola Back Together Again?
Could the third time be the charm for Olivia Culpo and Danny Amendola?
The former Miss Universe and Miami Dolphins wide receiver have broken up and made up a couple times in the past but when Amendola was photographed with another woman, Culpo was completely caught off guard and ended things. Now though, after sharing very similar Instagram stories on New Year’s Eve, many believe that they rang in 2019 together.
Here’s more on their relationship plus what happened when the clock hit 12 a.m. that has everyone thinking they were by each other’s side.
They dated for over two years
The beauty queen and NFL star met and began dating in 2016.
These two seemed like a good match and even had the whole modeling thing in common. Like Culpo, Amendola is a model as well and signed a contract with Ford models in 2017. So when he’s not catching passes on the field he’s as comfortable as she is in front of the camera.
Before they got together Culpo dated singer Nick Jonas and another NFL player, former quarterback Tim Tebow.
The pair broke up over another woman
After reports swirled that they had split in the spring of 2018, Culpo confirmed the news herself during an appearance on Access Hollywood Live.
“We are broken up, and it’s just so fresh for me I really don’t feel comfortable talking about it,” she admitted before adding, “It’s something I’m definitely not going to get into at this moment, but I’m sure everybody can relate to heartbreak.”
Then in June, the two rekindled their romance and were spotted at a wedding together. Things seemed to be going well for them over the summer as Culpo posted snaps with her beau on Instagram. But fast-forward to October and Amendola was photographed on a beach looking cozy with another woman. Several media outlets reported that the mystery brunette was journalist Biana Peters and an insider told E! News that she didn’t know the athlete was in a relationship with anyone.
“Bianca and Danny met just a few nights ago before they were spotted on the beach,” the source revealed. “They were at a house party and were both part of a group that decided to go to the beach over the weekend. Danny is new to Miami and Bianca had no idea he had a girlfriend. She is not in that world. She was a CBS journalist who is just starting her own media company. Now that she understands the situation, she has no plans to see him again.”
Why fans are convinced Amendola and Culpo are back together
Well, it appears that Culpo may have forgiven Amendola and spent New Year’s Eve with him. Speculation about them being together that night was fueled when fans couldn’t help but notice how similar their IG stories were.
Neither gave their exact location or appeared in the other’s story but shortly after midnight, they viewed fireworks from what looked to be the same spot on a beach. Amendola just wrapped up his NFL season with the Dolphins so many believe that spot could be in Miami.

So while it could just be a coincidence, many believe they were definitely with one another and are back together.
We’ll have to stay tuned and see if they announce the status of their relationship in the new year.
