Still, rumors continue to run rampant regarding their future plans, their relationship with Prince Harry’s family, and the drama happening with Meghan’s father and sister. The most buzzworthy story regarding the couple is the one suggesting that they are about to formally relinquish their royal titles, nearly a year after they stepped down as senior royals — and a recent report sheds some light on the possibility.

Prince Harry and Meghan were often cited as the new hope for the royal family, following their 2018 marriage. Many believed that they would inject some modernity into the very traditional royal family, and that they would work hard on furthering the humanitarian causes so beloved by Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

Certainly, Prince Harry and Meghan have used their titles in recent months for some professional projects, including Meghan choosing to be credited as the Duchess of Sussex for her recent voiceover project for Disney.
Still, a new promo video for an upcoming television special introduced the couple simply as “Harry and Meghan,” which lends weight to the speculation that the two could decide to leave their royal titles behind for good. Another royal insider in the same report claimed that the couple has “their own timeline and play by their own rules.
