Colleen Ballinger is the internet personality behind Miranda Sings

Ballinger is an American comedian, YouTuber, actor, singer, and writer. She is best known for her YouTube personality, Miranda Sings, the self-proclaimed “greatest singer in the world” with a passion for red lipstick, Harry Styles, and vibrato.

This character even creates covers of Grande’s chart-topping songs. That includes “No Tears Left to Cry” and “7 Rings.” Ballinger even starred on the Victorious episode “Tori Goes Platinum” as Miranda Sings.

Ballinger also has a YouTube career separate from her Miranda Sings persona. There, she releases original music and premieres lifestyle-related videos. Outside of their professional lives, Ballinger and Grande are close friends.

Is Ariana Grande friends with Colleen Ballinger?

Ariana Grande Fandom reports that the “Break Up With Your Girlfriend” artist and Ballinger have been friends for years. The website wrote that Ballinger “described Frankie and Joan Grande (Ariana Grande’s mother) as a brother and a mother to her.”

‘Whenever I see them, like, my heart feels so happy because of all the wonderful memories that we had together,” the singer said during one YouTube video.

During a live show at Barre in Los Angeles, Grande accompanied Miranda Sings on stage, with Miranda offering the pop star singing advice. The video, posted in 2011, has over 9 million views. In 2013, Ballinger posted a video for Grande’s 20th birthday. In it, fans saw the celebrities celebrating with a llama, chickens, and a tarot card reader.

Colleen Ballinger appeared in the music video for Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank U, Next’

In 2018, when Grande released the song “Thank U, Next,” Ballinger appeared as a character in the official YouTube music video. The “Thank U, Next” video currently holds over 675 million views and referenced several romantic comedies, including Mean Girls

In true Mean Girls fashion, Ballinger appeared saying she heard a rumor Grande was pregnant. As a result, she got pregnant so that they could have their babies around the same time. Unfortunately, it was just a rumor.

The artists danced as cheerleaders for the Bring It On-inspired section. Grande kissed Ballinger’s stomach, leaving a lipstick stain, in one of the final clips. The YouTube star was actually pregnant while appearing in this production.

This music video came just weeks before the birth of Ballinger’s baby. When the singer announced she was going into labor on social media, Grande tweeted her well-wishes, saying, “I love you so much @colleenb123.“

Music by Grande, including the album, Thank U, Next, and her recently released single with The Weeknd, “Save Your Tears,” is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major streaming platforms.
