Arnold Schwarzenegger Fans Love For Him to Quote This Movie Line, and It’s Not ‘I’ll Be Back’
Action star and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has had quite the career. He made a name for himself as a bodybuilder and when that going got tough, he and a friend started a construction business.
By the early ‘80s, he hit a stride in acting and became a bonafide movie star thanks to films such as Conan the Barbarian. With decades of roles under his belt, Schwarzenegger is recognized for his voice and memorable quotes. But which one is it that people love to request the most?
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s movie catalog goes back to the 1970s
Arnold Schwarzenegger is behind some of the most iconic characters in film, with the Terminator being one of the most notable. But before donning T-800’s shades and sophisticated weaponry, he cut down enemies as Conan in two separate movies.
On fire in the ‘80s and ‘90s, Schwarzenegger kept up his streak in Commando, Predator, Red Sonja, and comedies such as Twins and Kindergarten Cop.
The latter two projects had him veer into a different direction. Both played off his hulking, imposing stature but tapped into Schwarzenegger’s humorous side. There is really no shortage of roles to pluck from that left an impression on fans.
Schwarzenegger reveals which lines love for him to recite
Schwarzenegger had an entertaining interview during a visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show where he discussed his early career and current projects. Clarkson asked about him about fan encounters and joked that people probably want him to say some of his classic lines. Which one is the most the popular request?
According to Schwarzenegger, there are a few, but “Get to the chopper!” always seems to come up. He said if he does seminars with Q&A sessions at the end, folks want to hear the chopper quote or one from Conan the Barbarian.
“Or they’ll say, ‘To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women,’” he said while reciting Conan’s words in character.
Schwarzenegger also has a new cartoon out
Viewers learned that the actor has an animated children’s show on the air called Superhero Kindergarten, and it features a character who looks just like him. It was created in partnership with the late Stan Lee.
It’s available to stream on the Kartoon Channel app and some episodes were released on YouTube. The series is off to a great start with more than 2 million views during its first outing.
Schwarzenegger is excited for the show and pointed out that it’s one of the only projects he’s done that isn’t rated R. Lee came up with the idea after Schwarzenegger told him he always wanted to do a Kindergarten Cop sequel. Lee pitched an animated show about a retired superhero teaching kindergarten students who have powers, and Schwarzenegger got on board.
He expressed his regret that the Marvel icon isn’t here to see how it turned it out but said, “I think that he would be very, very happy if he would see the finished product because it came out fantastic.”
Adult viewers who watch will catch on to his character’s jokes that reference his famous films and one-liners such as the everlasting “I’ll be back.”
