A$AP Rocky Talks Rihanna Romance, Says She’s ‘The Love of My Life’
When Rihanna and her businessman boyfriend Hassan Jameel broke up in early 2020, some fans turned their attention to former beaus Drake and Chris Brown.
Not many expected her to strike up a romance with A$AP Rocky. The New York-bred rapper and the singer-mogul have kept a relatively low profile, but A$AP spilled a little bit about his feelings for his new girlfriend.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky reportedly began dating in 2020
Rihanna fans have been clamoring for new music for the past two years, but most of her new releases come in the form of beauty, fashion, and a coffee table book. Rumors about a possible dalliance with A$AP Rocky first arose during summer 2020, and became the biggest news since Fenty’s Skin launch. And he appeared as a model for the beauty campaign.
The pair have been friends for years, so when people learned that she’d been kicking it with A$AP Rocky in a more-than-friends way, it wasn’t that surprising to some.
Since late 2020, they’ve been photographed together at restaurants, strolling city streets at night, and in Barbados for Christmas. Eagle-eyed fans have also noticed Rihanna and Rocky subtly shouting each other out on social media.
A$AP Rocky calls RiRi the ‘love of his life’
A$AP Rocky graces the cover of GQ’s latest issue, and in an interview, opens up about his lady love, fashion, Sweden, and music. But his words about RiRi are catching everyone’s attention. The first thing he said is “The love of my life. My lady.”
He spoke about how much his life has improved now that he’s in a relationship, saying, “So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones.” Rocky, who has admitted to being a sex addict in the past, is on a new path with Rihanna.
“I think when you know, you know. She’s the One,” he said. The couple’s holiday trip to Barbados was special to him since his father is from the island, but their cross-country road excursion proved to be another bonding experience.
The two embarked on a luxury bus trip and visited tourist sites between Los Angeles and New York, enjoying music, creativity, and each other’s company. No obligatory stage performances involved.
Rocky also told GQ that he’s down to become a father if it’s written for him. “If that’s in my destiny, absolutely,” he said. “Nah, but like, I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very.”
Rihanna’s giving input on Rocky’s music
While Rihanna continues to reassure fans that she’s working on R9, she’s providing her two cents to her man’s upcoming music projects. Rocky is working with rock star Morrissey, and he shared that RiRi is guiding his new work in more ways than one.
Now that he’s in a romantic relationship, his musical worldview is shifting. But moreover, he appreciates what she has to say. “I think it’s important to have somebody that you can bounce those creative juices and ideas off of,” said Rocky. “It’s just a different point of view.”
