Ashley Tisdale Used to Have a Bizarre Dating Pattern
Ashley Tisdale rose to fame as an actor on Disney Channel. She is best known for playing Maddie Fitzpatrick on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and voicing the role of Candace on Phineas and Ferb. Additionally, she is also known for playing Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical franchise.
When Tisdale was not working, she went on dates like many young adults. However, looking back, Tisdale revealed she had a dating pattern that was quite unusual.

Thanks to Tisdale’s work on Disney Channel, she was able to score many benefits, including VIP treatment at Disneyland. In 2019, she shared on The Late Late Show with James Corden that she used her VIP status to her advantage and went on dates there.
“I would bring guys [to Disneyland] that I dated to, kind of, flex a little bit,” she said. “I’d be like, ‘I’m Disney royalty.’”
However, Tisdale admitted that she would “always break up with [the guys] after the fireworks.” Yet, the interesting thing is that she usually did not plan this.
“I would experience that with them and it just so happened [that we would break up afterwards],” she explained. “I didn’t even notice I was doing it until my friend was like, ‘Isn’t it so weird? Like, you guys go to Disneyland then right after you guys ended up breaking up?’”
Who has Ashley Tisdale dated?
Tisdale did not reveal who these dates were, but some fans might be curious to know about her dating history.
In the mid-2000s, she dated dancer Jared Murillo. He appeared in all three High School Musical films and was also a member of the boy band V Factory. Tisdale and Murillo reportedly broke up in 2009.
From 2009 to 2011, Tisdale dated filmmaker and director Scott Speer, who produced worked on several of her music videos. The couple got back together briefly in 2012 before parting ways for good.
Additionally, Tisdale has also been linked to Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson and actor Gili Lang.
Ashley Tisdale is married and expecting a child
These days, Tisdale is off the market. She is currently married to music composer Christopher French. The two of them began dating in 2012 and got engaged after less than a year later.
She revealed to Us Weekly in 2013 that she simply knew French was the right partner for her, which explains their quick engagement.
“I’ve obviously been in long relationships in the past. But I think because of knowing what I wanted, I wouldn’t have gone into a relationship if it wasn’t what I wanted,” she said, as reported by Us Weekly. “I think from the moment that him and I met, I just knew it. I was like, ‘Ok this is the guy,’ and he knew the same thing. It doesn’t get any better. I just can’t explain it.”
Tisdale and French got married in 2014. In September 2020, the couple announced they are expecting a child together.
