While several reports suggest Kutcher and Combs had a close friendship for years, a source told People that the actor and the music mogul only saw each other a “handful” of times through the years.

“Ashton has no involvement in any of this,” the source explained. “He doesn’t belong in this conversation about Diddy. Ashton has only seen Diddy in a handful of social and business events, all of which have been documented by the media.”

Another source debunked that the court case led to issues between Ashton and Mila Kunis, causing them to separate. “This is absolutely ridiculous and false,” the source said of the rumor.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs once talked about clubbing with the ‘Punk’d’ host

Ashton Kutcher and Sean “Diddy” Combs seemed to have a close friendship for years. While it’s unclear where they stand after Combs’ arrest, Combs once talked about how he, Kutcher, and Jamie Foxx would frequently hang out and go clubbing.

“I first met Ashton Kutcher when we were both on MTV. He was doing Punk’d, and I was doing Making the Band,” Combs explained to TIME in 2010. “For a while, with Jamie Foxx, we were a rat pack, hanging out, going to clubs.”

Unfortunately, Kutcher and Combs’ clubbing had to come to an end. Combs explained that Kutcher’s relationship with Demi Moore was the cause. “I remember one night he was with Demi, maybe for the first time, and a couple of weeks later he called to tell me he was in love,” Combs said. “That was the end of our clubbing.”

Combs added that he and Kutcher remained friends after their clubbing days, and he said the Punk’d host served as a “sounding board” for him. “Like me, he’s a mogul — a new-media mogul,” Combs continued. “But we are yin and yang: I am in your face, but he is understated, cool, suave.”

Ashton Kutcher likely won’t publicly state where he stands with Sean “Diddy” Combs after Combs’ arrest. A source told DailyMail.com that Kutcher “absolutely regrets his friendship with Diddy,” as it possibly put him in a tough position. “He feels lied to, betrayed, taken for granted, and manipulated,” the insider continued.

The source noted that Kutcher “fears” how the investigation into Combs “will play out,” especially if Combs is willing to throw other famous folks under the bus. “He feels Diddy would have no problem lying to authorities and tossing out some of his famous friend’s names if it meant it could get him out of jail,” the insider added.
