ATEEZ, NCT 127, and Twice Will Kick Off New World Tours
Because of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, multiple K-pop groups were forced to cancel or postpone tours in 2020. Beginning in 2021, musicians around the world have resumed concerts and announced plans to tour in 2022. In November, the K-pop groups ATEEZ, NCT 127, and Twice announced new world tours for fans to attend.
ATEEZ’s world tour will conclude in March 2022
ATEEZ originally debuted in October 2018. The group is made up of eight members: Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho.
In 2020, the K-pop group was set to put on a world tour called The Fellowship: Map the Treasure. Because of the coronavirus, ATEEZ only performed the tour’s concert dates in South Korea and indefinitely postponed the remainder of the tour.
On Nov. 14, ATEEZ announced a new tour called The Fellowship: Beginning of the End. To announce the tour, the band released a trailer and a graphic listing the tour’s planned stops on social media.
ATEEZ will perform in Seoul at Olympic Hall on Jan. 7, 2022, Jan. 8, 2022, and Jan. 9, 2022, to begin the tour. The K-pop group will then travel to the U.S. and Europe.
On Jan. 18, 2022, ATEEZ will perform at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The K-pop band will then perform at the Gas South Arena in Atlanta on Jan. 20, 2022. The group’s next tour stop will be at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Jan. 24, 2022.
On Jan. 27, 2022, ATEEZ will put on a show at The Texas Trust CU Theatre at Grand Prairie in Dallas. The band’s final U.S. concert will take place at The Forum in Los Angeles on Jan. 30, 2022.
For the tour’s European leg, ATEEZ will perform in Amsterdam on Feb. 13, 2022. The band will perform in London on Feb. 15, 2022. On Feb. 20, 2022, the K-pop group will perform in Paris. ATEEZ will then perform in Warsaw on Feb. 24, 2022.
The band’s final tour stop for The Fellowship: Beginning of the End will take place in Madrid on March 1, 2022.
NCT 127 will perform concerts in December 2021
NCT 127 is a sub-unit of SM Entertainment’s K-pop group NCT. The band originally debuted in 2016 and currently has nine members: Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan.
In June 2020, the band planned to put on a tour called Neo City – The Awards. However, because of the coronavirus, the K-pop group indefinitely postponed the tour. NCT 127 later canceled the tour due to the pandemic.
On Nov. 15, NCT 127 announced they will hold three concerts in Seoul called NCT 127 2nd Tour “Neo City : Seoul – The Link.” The concerts will be held at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome on Dec. 17, Dec. 18, and Dec. 19.
The Dec. 19 concert date will be livestreamed for fans who are unable to attend the shows in Seoul.
In a tweet, NCT 127 shared that they will embark on a world tour following the concerts in Seoul.
NCT 127 tweeted, “‘NCT 127 2ND TOUR ‘NEO CITY : SEOUL – THE LINK’” to be held on 12/17~19! NCT 127 to start off their 2nd world tour in Seoul!”
The K-pop group Twice will tour in 2022
Twice debuted with JYP Entertainment in 2015, and the K-pop group has nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu.
On Nov. 15, Twice announced they will set off on a world tour called III in 2021 and 2022. This will be the band’s fourth world tour.
Twice will perform in Seoul on Dec. 24, Dec. 25, and Dec. 26. The K-pop group will then perform in LA on Feb. 16, 2022. Twice will put on a concert in Oakland, Calif. on Feb. 18, 2022.
The band will perform in Dallas on Feb. 22, 2022, and in Atlanta on Feb. 24, 2022. The K-pop’s final show of the III tour will take place in New York on Feb. 26, 2022.
