Aubrey O’Day Says She ‘Never Thought’ She’d Feel ‘Vindication’ After Diddy’s Actions, Says It’s Been ‘Beyond Moving’
It seems that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ alleged past decisions could be catching up with him. The hip-hop mogul was arrested in September 2024 on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, and he’s currently in jail awaiting trial. While Diddy has said he’s not guilty, a number of women have spoken out about Diddy’s abuse and treatment toward them through the years.
Aubrey O’Day, a former member of Danity Kane, a band created by Diddy, once revealed she was removed from the band for reasons unrelated to music. And she recently spoke out about feeling “vindication” after Diddy’s arrest.
Danity Kane band member Aubrey O’Day says she ‘never thought’ Diddy’s arrest would happen
Back in the early 2000s, many aspiring artists sought a coveted spot on Diddy’s show, Making the Band. Aubrey O’Day was one of them, and the singer became a member of Danity Kane — a band formed by Diddy as a result of the show. But after O’Day was removed from the band in 2008, she spoke out about what really happened. O’Day revealed on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that her exit came after she allegedly didn’t do “what was expected of her” with Diddy, referring to situations outside of the band and music.
Fast forward to 2024, and TMZ that repors O’Day feels “vindication” now that Diddy has been arrested. “I never thought I would see this day,” O’Day told the outlet. “We all buried this inside of us in order to be able to keep going. And not just me, but victims you don’t even know yet.
O’Day continued, “We are all processing what that type of vindication can actually feel like now. Every conversation I’ve had with victims last night has been beyond moving on all levels.”
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently in jail as he awaits trial
Diddy’s trial is set to begin in May 2025, and he has remained in prison since his September 2024 arrest. Most celebrities have tried to distance themselves from Diddy’s parties, but it’s no secret that his white parties were once the most coveted invites around. Former Death Row Records producer Suge Knight, who is currently in jail for voluntary manslaughter, said that Diddy’s life could be “in danger” due to how much he knows about so many high-profile people. “I’ll tell you what, Puffy, your life is in danger ’cause you know the secrets of who’s involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in,” Knight said, according to The Source. “You know they gonna get you if they can… I turned myself in. Sometimes you gotta face the music, that’s most of the time.”
