‘Avengers: Endgame:’ Who Spends the Most Time in Hair & Makeup?
Avengers: Endgame is now only a few weeks away – and with the cast on a tight-lipped press junket, attempting to promote a film while watching every word they utter – the anticipation keeps building.
Waiting for Mark Ruffalo or Tom Holland to slip the tiniest details, fans of the franchise have become amateur detectives, working on parsing out the various meaning behind cast members’ cryptic messages. However, with Endgame, all the actors seem committed to the no-spoil mission. Not to mention, none of them have received an entire script (so they say), as to protect the fallout of events.
During a recent interview with Good Morning America, Paula Faris sat down with the six original Avengers – Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner.
After asking a few questions regarding the upcoming movie, including whether the actors had seen it, the interviewer strayed from “trap” spoiler questions and went in a different, lighter direction. Faris asked the cast, “Who spends the most time in hair and makeup?” and the decision was unanimous.
Chris Hemsworth has spent the most time in hair and makeup, transforming into Thor since way before ‘Avengers: Endgame’
When asked who spends the most time in the hair and makeup chair, Scarlett Johansson was the first to point out Thor. Robert Downey Jr. then immediately jumped on the bandwagon, stating, “Lady Hemsworth, before the remaining cast pointed fingers at the long-locked God of Thunder.
Chris Hemsworth – though first responding with utter shock – went on to admit that, due to the hair, it’s fair to argue that he spends the most time in hair & makeup. “She’s so pretty” commented Johansson jokingly (in response to Hemsworth’s bitter acceptance). In a mere five minute interview, you can sense the love existing between all of these actors. They joke around in a seemingly natural way. Yes, they are actors; however, they too have discussed their affection for one another openly.
Conclusion to the ‘Good Morning America’ interview: Chris Evans describes ‘Avengers: Endgame’ “End”
After discussing the various dynamics between the actors on set, Chris Evans goes on to answer Faris’ most pressing question: “Can you guys give me one word to describe the end?” While audiences waited with bated breath, Captain American played it safe.
To describe the movie’s end, Chris Evans stated that it was “satisfying,” as it represents the end of their journey. Evans stated that the movie “sticks the landing” and addresses all the arcs viewers would expect. So, will we finally see Black Widow and Bruce Banner seal the deal?
Though admitting he has yet to see the completed product, as RDJ notes, Chris Evans strays from commenting on the product in a spoiler-type fashion; instead, he opts to focus on his general feelings surrounding the end and relies on vague narrative descriptions to answer the interviewer. The Russo Brothers would be proud.
Chris Evans, reportedly not returning to the MCU after Avengers: Endgame, has been the talk of the town, as many fans are curious as to whether his character will die in the upcoming movie. While this would be a dramatic and heartbreaking scene, so many fans would expect it; thus, the Russo Brothers may have to defy this expectation just to surprise viewers. As for now, keep speculating, and all will be revealed April 26.
