B. Simone Gets Dragged Once Again on Twitter for Dissing People with 9-5 Jobs
Social media personality and actress B. Simone is in hot water again after people are calling her out for comments she made in a recent interview about jobs. This comes not long after the was deemed “canceled’ due to remarks she made about George Floyd protests.
B. Simone garnered backlash recently for comments about George Floyd protests
Simone was notably silent when many celebrities were speaking out about the injustice. When she did speak out, she made a contrast between the protests and religion. She wrote first, “Doing your part is more than social media! Doing you part is loving your neighbors, praying for the enemy, calling your blk friends N Checking on them, signing petitions, donating, meditating, looking in the mirror and becoming better. B4 i try to lead let me examine myself!”
She later followed this up with a tweet that said, “I’m not living to please man I’m here to please God at the end of the day i am a CHRISTIAN ! I’m God fearing i have to answer to Him ! I’m going to ask myself WWJD not what would an angry black woman do ! I am angry but i am also trying to be Godly.”
She began trending on Twitter as thousands of people dove into her mentions on Twitter explaining how she was wrong.
Now people are taking her to task for comments about careers
In an interview with Nick Cannon, B. Simone said something that ruffled a few feathers. The interview was actually conducted several weeks ago but found new life when it was posted on The Shade Room this week. When Cannon asked her about what she seeks in a partner, she said she was only interested in entrepreneurs. “He can’t have a 9-5,” she said, saying that her prospective partner can be “hustling entrepreneur,” but on “CEO status.”
She continued, ‘“He can’t be like clocking in and clocking out. No. I think entrepreneurs should date entrepreneurs…you’re not going to understand my lifestyle. You’re not going to understand why I’m up at 3 a.m. He has to be an entrepreneur…or moving into that direction.”
The social media personality receives more backlash
Just as she did with her protest remarks, Simone was also heavily critiqued for what she said during the interview with Cannon as well.
One person tweeted, “B. Simone going for a 3 peat with the Twitter drag at this point. I’ll wait til next week to see what’s next lol.”
‘B Simone made dat million & forgot what it’s like to be humble,” said someone else.
Someone else said that her messaging was the issue. They wrote, “B Simone should’ve simply said, ‘I prefer a man who has a similar career path as me’ and that’s really okay. Her delivery really was just some s**t.”
In response to the backlash, she posted a video on Twitter to clarify what she said.
She also used this as an opportunity to plug her book, Baby Girl Manifest the Life You Want.
