‘Bachelor’ Fans Are Hating On Caelynn Miller-Keyes for Commenting on Cassie Randolph’s Breakup Post
Fans of The Bachelor remember Colton Underwood’s season well. While he hit it off with quite a few ladies, Cassie Randolph was the apple of his eye from the start. They ended the season in a relationship together, and though they certainly had rocky moments, it looked like the couple was destined for marriage eventually.
Sadly, Randolph and Underwood decided to end their relationship at the end of May 2020. And Caelynn Miller-Keyes, who also fell in love with Underwood on his season, is commenting her support to Randolph — though fans don’t trust it.
Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Cassie Randolph established a friendship on ‘The Bachelor’
While Miller-Keyes and Randolph were both competing for Underwood’s love on The Bachelor, they became fast friends. Miller-Keyes commented on the friendship to Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti on their Almost Famous podcast.
“They were like, ‘You can’t be this close and develop feelings for a guy, the same guy.’ And I get that. But we were so good at separating it too and we just wouldn’t talk about it,” Miller-Keyes noted. “That’s the only way we’d remain friends.”
While Miller-Keyes was crushed when Underwood didn’t fall completely in love with her on the show, she’s also noted that she views Underwood as a big brother figure now.
“If you look at past, like, prior contestants, they’re friends … with the lead. That’s exactly what happened in this situation. I was able to detach my emotions and my feelings,” Miller-Keyes told Us Weekly. “Colton’s like a big brother to me and I love him as a friend.”
Cassie Randolph announced she and Colton Underwood broke up
While Randolph and Underwood appeared to be a rock-solid couple, fans had a sneaking suspicion they may not last. And they announced their breakup in May 2020.
“Colton and I have broken up, but have decided to remain a part of each others lives,” Randolph wrote to Instagram on May 29. “With all that we have gone through, we have a special bond that will always be there. I love Colton very much and have an enormous amount of respect for him. We have both learned and grown so much these past couple years, and will always have each others’ back.”
Underwood also wrote a brief, but hopeful, message to his Instagram regarding the breakup. “Sometimes people are just meant to be friends – and that’s okay,” he wrote. “We both have grown immensely and been through so much together – so this isn’t the end of our story, it’s the start of a whole new chapter for us.”
Fans are slamming Caelynn Miller-Keyes’ comment
Randolph took some time away from social media after the breakup announcement — but she’s back with some heartfelt words for her followers. On July 1, she posted a photo of herself along with a candid caption about having to develop a thick skin to dodge all the negativity coming her way.
“I feel like saying: ok all you mother ffers hating on me for my breakup-please stop,” she wrote. “It’s been an awful few months for ME trying to go thru it. I’m STILL going thru it. It’s hard enough w/out your know-it-all comments. You literally know nothing so go away.”
Miller-Keyes showed her support in the comments with some emoji hearts. But some fans think she’s still trying to steal Underwood from Randolph despite Miller-Keyes now being in a committed relationship to Dean Unglert.
“I bet you’re thrilled that she dumped Colton!” a follower commented to Miller-Keyes. “Everything the girls said about you two being there for the influencer life was true.”
And others slammed Miller-Keyes, Randolph, and the other Bachelor contestants for using the show to gain clout.
Others admitted Miller-Keyes and Randolph likely went on the show for influencer fame, but they still offered them some grace. “There is nothing wrong with going on that show for that reason if you are also open to love,” another commented. “Clearly they both were! Caelynn and Dean are now happy together and we don’t know why Cassie and Colton broke up but she gave it her all.”
Randolph responded to Miller-Keyes’ comment with heart emojis too, though, so it looks like the women are still there for each other no matter what.
