On Dec. 15, Hannah Brown and Matt James created a TikTok video of them dancing to the “Seeing Triple” song. The snippet has gone viral on the platform with over 2 million videos. “Back at it again with @mattjames9191 💃🕺🏾 #fyp #dance #dwts #holiday,” she captioned the TikTok video, along with two dancing emojis.
The two reunited in New York City to celebrate Brown’s new book God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life’s Best (and Worst) Moments. The memoir delves into Hannad’s time in the spotlight after making her Bachelorette debut and navigating life in her early 20s.
How did the ‘Bachelor’ alums become close friends?
During Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, Matt James’ close friend and roommate, Tyle Cameron, was a contestant on the show. The former Bachelorette met Matt through Tyler, who was a runner-up on the reality dating show. When the pandemic happened and everyone across America was forced into lockdown, Tyler, Hannah, and Matt were all quarantined together. They became known as the “Quarantine Crew” because they would constantly post pictures together on social media.

When Matt James became the next Bachelor for Season 25, Hannah Brown gave him some advice. In a special appearance on the Off the Vine podcast, Hannah said she encouraged Matt to “remember who you are.”
“These are your choices. It’s your life. Prepare,” she added. “Write down what you want in a wife, what type of life do you want, so that when you go on these dates, you can look back and be like, ‘Is this lining up or was that just a magical date because there are fireworks and the horses and the violinists?’”
Matt’s season was definitely one for the books. He made history as the first Black Bachelor in the franchise. In the end, Matt did find love. Toward the end of the season, the Bachelor lead picked Rachael Kirkconnell.
Their love story soon turned sour after Rachel was accused of racial behavior. In the end, the couple broke up after the “Final Rose Ceremony.” Eventually, the pair got back together. Matt confirmed they were dating again in a May 2021 Wall Street Journal Magazine interview. The couple has been together ever since.
