In a recent episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Kufrin discussed her relationship with Jacobs, whom she met in season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise.
The two connected on-screen but broke up when the season ended. However, they reunited, and Kufrin even told her mom she wanted to marry Jacobs shortly after they got together.
“I was like, ‘Mom, I think I want to marry this guy,’” she said during the podcast. “It’s the first time I’ve ever actually said that out loud.”
Jacobs had also mentioned his desire to get married: “It’s something we’ve talked about. I mean, I don’t want to spend my life with anybody else,” Us Weekly reported.
During Bachelor Happy Hour, Kufrin revealed what her boyfriend needed to do before he got down on one knee.
“He knows this — he needs to ask for my mother’s blessing,” Kufrin told co-host Michelle Young. “He can’t get down on one knee until that happens.”

Another requirement? Privacy. Kufrin was previously engaged to Arie Luyendyk Jr. during his season of The Bachelor and to Garrett Yrigoyen in her season of The Bachelorette.
“I’ve already done two very public engagements,” Kufrin explained. “I do not like that, and I do not want that again.
“He’s very well aware,” she said of Jacobs. “For me, I’ve been there, done that. I think that the way I look at it is, people sometimes look so much into the proposal and the wedding itself and not the actual marriage.
“I’m at the point where I want to spend my life with him; I want to be with him. I don’t need anything big, extravagant, public in any way,” Kufrin added. “I just want it to be us. He knows that. I honestly didn’t need to tell him that — he just knew from everything we’ve talked about, which is really nice.”
The ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ star hinted she might propose to Jacobs
Before announcing the couple’s engagement on Instagram, Kufrin hinted the proposal would come soon. “[It’s] definitely on the horizon,” she said during the podcast.
“We’ve talked about it. It’s actually something we’ve talked about for quite a while now,” the Bachelor in Paradise star explained. “He jokingly proposed with a paper clip ring once, and I was like, ‘I would say yes to his paper clip ring, except it cuts my finger all of the time.'”
One of the reasons for the delay was Kufrin’s busy schedule. She recently wrapped a hosting gig for the Bachelor Live on Stage tour.
“Life has just been so crazy right now with the tour,” Kufrin shared. “Obviously, I’ve been all over, back-and-forth. But I think we need to get back into a groove and settled. I think it would happen. I know it will one day. I just don’t know when.”
Kufrin also revealed she might be the one to pop the question.
“He knows what I want. I know what he wants too. Who knows?” Kufrin teased. “I’m not all about the traditions, so we’ll see.”
Sure enough, Kufrin revealed on Instagram on Memorial Day 2022 that she had popped the question.
“In the ultimate plot twist…HE SAID YES!” the ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ alum announced.
“We’ve been keeping this secret just between us and close family & friends for a while but we’re so excited to shout it from the rooftops! I finally found my chauffeur for life and the one who makes my heart smile every single day. I can’t wait to do it all with you Tommy, thanks for making me the happiest gal alive. I love you to the moon & back.”
