‘Bachelor in Paradise’: Did James Bonsall Tease His Ending With Aaron Clancy Ahead of the Finale?
On Oct. 5, many Bachelor in Paradise fans were shocked when James Bonsall and Aaron Clancy turned out to be one of the strongest couples on the beach. But now, it seems James might’ve dropped a clue about his ending with Aaron right before the Bachelor in Paradise finale — here’s what he shared and how the two reality stars are doing now.

What happened to James Bonsall and Aaron Clancy in ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ 2021?
James and Aaron formed a strong friendship together on The Bachelorette Season 17 with Katie Thurston. Then the two reality stars joined the Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 cast on day one, and it seemed like they picked up where they left off.
Throughout the summer series, both Aaron and James supported each other as they explored romantic relationships. Then in the finale, James received a rose from Anna Redman. Aaron also earned his rose from Tia Booth. Nevertheless, both relationships ended in the finale.
On decision day, James ended things with Anna, claiming that he couldn’t see them falling in love. Then as James said goodbye to the remaining cast members, he asked Aaron to leave with him. Aaron immediately accepted James’ offer, and he quickly spoke to Tia.
“I actually care about you, but James is waiting right now,” Aaron said. “So we’re about to bounce back to [San Diego].”
Like most Bachelor Nation fans, Tia thought the whole situation was a joke. Then Aaron and James left Paradise together.
James Bonsall opens up about Aaron Clancy before the ‘BIP’ finale
Ahead of the Bachelor in Paradise finale on Oct. 5, James hopped on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and opened up about his bromance with Aaron. He said:
“We continued to hang out back in San Diego. He’s essentially my neighbor, living down the street. We’ve just grown super, super close. And to find out that we were both going to be on Paradise together, it’s just a relationship that’s grown stronger as each day passes. That’s going to be a friend for life. I see him almost every other day. And Aaron, if you’re listening, I appreciate our friendship. I love you, man.”
James also reminded fans that he left Katie’s season of The Bachelorette the same way he did on Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 — together with Aaron.
“That’s my guy. He’s a brother for life,” James said of Aaron. “We met on Katie’s season of The Bachelorette. We left the same night. Got eliminated at the same rose ceremony on Katie’s season.”
Then toward the end of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast episode, James joked that he and Aaron were the “strongest couple in Paradise.”
Aaron Clancy and James Bonsall share how they’re doing now via Instagram
Hilariously, many Bachelor in Paradise fans named Aaron and James the strongest couple on the beach following the season 7 finale. But how are the reality stars doing now? Both Aaron and James recently shared an update on Instagram.
James published a clip of himself with Aaron on BIP as well as the giant box from Katie’s season of The Bachelorette. Then the reality star shared how he felt about his experience. On Instagram, James wrote:
“From being rolled out in a gift box, to walking off a beach in Mexico with a brother for life…. @aaronrclancy has been with me every step of the way, and I honestly couldn’t have gone through this crazy journey without him. Got nothing but love for this guy.”
Meanwhile, Aaron shared a couple of photos with James after leaving The Bachelor bubble together. He also highlighted his “brother for life.” On Instagram, Aaron wrote:
“A lot has led to this point, it may not have ended how I intended, but better than I could’ve hoped with a brother for life. Dudes as solid as the base of the great pyramid. We got each other’s six on some gang sh*t. I love you all, this is only the beginning”
