‘Bachelor in Paradise’ spoilers reveal 1 fan favorite gets engaged

[Warning: potential spoilers for Bachelor in Paradise]

Joe Amabile, or Grocery Joe as he has been affectionately named by fans, was an instant favorite from the moment he appeared on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette. Though he only lasted one night on her season, he returned to TV on Bachelor in Paradise Season 5. While there, he found love with Kendall Long but the two later went their separate ways. Now, Amabile has reportedly found love again in Paradise.

When Reality Steve first released his spoilers, he had Amabile ending the season with Serena Pitt, one of the women from Matt James’ season of The Bachelor. At the time, he didn’t know if they ended the season engaged or just dating.

“Grocery Joe & Serena did not get engaged, but I’m pretty sure they’re still together,” Steve wrote before correcting himself. “CORRECTION: Joe and Serena are engaged. So all 3 couples got engaged at the end.”

In addition to Amabile, Steve is predicting that Kenny Braasch from Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams’ season and Mari Pepin from James’ season get engaged as well as Riley Christian from Crawley and Adams’ season and Maurissa Gunn from Peter Weber’s season.

What happened with Joe and Kendall?

Long and Amabile were one of the strongest couples on their season of BIP. The two dated for a year afterward before splitting.

“It was a little bit of a surprise,” Long told Entertainment Tonight of her breakup. “But I think, ultimately, Joe foresaw his happiness and work in Chicago, and I can’t resent him because of that. And for me, I just never foresaw a future there.”

“So I think that it became an ultimatum within itself, where either I move to Chicago or we break up, and I didn’t really wanna have a relationship like that,” she continued.

The two still remained in touch after the breakup.

“It’s hard to talk every day,” she said. “But we tried our best to keep it amicable cause we decided to break up and go through everything first and then go public. So I think, in a way that’s helped us to remain friends. And also we just don’t talk bad about each other… There’s nothing bad to talk about.”

As recently as last year, Long admitted to still being in love with Amabile.

“It’s hard. The feelings are still there,” she said. “But right now, I feel like there would have to be a lot that would happen for me to see that future again. But I still love him. It’s hard not to love Joe.”

Long reportedly is part of the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise as well. According to Steve, she didn’t fare so well watching her ex find love.

“Kendall Long had a tough time watching Joe’s relationship and ended up leaving the show,” Steve wrote. “The last person she was involved with was Ivan Hall, who also ended up leaving.”
