‘Bachelor in Paradise’: What Really Happened Between Ivan and Alexa? Are They Together Now?
Ivan Hall was the darling of Bachelor in Paradise for most of the season. After Tayshia Adams broke up with him on The Bachelorette for religious reasons, fans were ready to see Ivan find love. When he got his heart broken by Jessenia Cruz, viewers felt for him even more. But Tuesday night’s episode of BIP proved that Ivan may not be as innocent as everyone thought.
Ivan lied about his connection with Chelsea on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’
The episode didn’t start off well for Ivan. Last week, Ivan told Aaron Clancy that he wouldn’t try to steal anyone’s rose. However, right after that, he went to go talk to Chelsea Vaughn, who Aaron was connecting with. Aaron accused Ivan of being a liar, but Ivan insisted that it was Chelsea who pulled him for a talk. Several people on the beach began to gang up on Aaron, claiming that he was overreacting.
Later, Chelsea revealed that Ivan actually asked her to go for a chat, not the other way around. When Chelsea confronted Ivan about lying, he lied once again and said that he never told anyone that.
“I am getting two different sides of the story, but I think Ivan’s just an opportunist,” Chelsea told the camera.
What happened between Ivan and Alexa?
Coming off of the lie that Ivan was already caught up in, things got worse for him. Before the rose ceremony began, guest host and bartender Wells Adams, pulled Ivan out of the lineup and asked to talk to him privately.
“There’s something that happened last night at the hotel when we were sheltering from the storm,” Wells told the group.
Away from everyone else, he asked Ivan if there was anything he needed to tell him. Ivan finally admitted that he left his hotel room to meet up with Alexa Caves from Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor.
“Last night at the hotel, I was really in a place where I was kind of feeling lost here in Paradise,” Ivan told Wells. “I was honestly feeling lost and had no connections. I didn’t know where to go, really. And last night, I spent time with Alexa at the hotel.”
He went on to say that he had been waiting for Alexa to come onto the beach. When he found a producer’s phone, he saw which room Alexa was in as she had been waiting at the hotel to join the rest of the cast. He, then, went to Alexa’s room. Ivan claimed that they spent most of the time talking on her balcony and he spent several hours with her.
“It was wrong of me,” he said. “I shouldn’t have gone around the system. My mind was just in a weird place, and I was wrong. Love makes you do weird, crazy things. I made a mistake. And it was a giant mistake.”
He then went back and told the group what had happened before sending himself home.
“I’m sorry to all of you,” Ivan told the rest of the cast. “I went around the system last night to meet Alexa because I actually just wanted to see if there was a connection there.”
Is Ivan with Alexa after ‘Bachelor in Paradise’?
Ivan and Alexa have not commented on whether they are together now. They both follow one another on Instagram, but that isn’t a huge indicator of anything as most people in Bachelor Nation follow one another. Their relationship will most likely be addressed at the reunion.
