‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 7: Evidence Suggests Demi Burnett Not Joining Cast
Fans of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are more excited than ever to see what Bachelor in Paradise has in store. The season is finally coming back for 2021, and everyone’s wondering which romantic hopefuls will shoot their shot on the beach. Demi Burnett was a fan favorite from the season 6. Will she return to find love once again? It seems all signs point to no. Here’s why.
Is Demi Burnett single? It doesn’t look like she’s currently dating
Demi made her debut on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. She went home heartbroken from the season, but she came back strong on Bachelor in Paradise Season 6. It’s been quite some time since season 6, though. So, is Demi single today?
It looks like Demi is single — or, if she’s dating, she’s keeping her relationships out of the spotlight. Demi’s last major relationship was with musician Slater Davis. She and Slater appeared to hit it off immediately, and they jumped deep into their partnership in 2020. Unfortunately, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic threw them for a loop, and it put major strain on their romance. The two broke up in June 2020.
“I recently broke up with my boyfriend,” she said on her podcast, according to People. “I love him, I’m crazy about him, he’s wonderful, and it’s just been really hard. But we are wanting to work on ourselves and we are still very good friends. It’s just never fun whenever you’re going through that.”
Will Demi join the ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ cast?
So, will Demi be part of the Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 cast? She hasn’t given any concrete answers one way or the other, but it seems she’s likely leaning toward not attending.
Fans can’t forget Demi got engaged to Kristian Haggerty on her last Bachelor in Paradise season. But they couldn’t make their relationship work. They broke off their engagement and seem to be on OK terms now, though we doubt they’re close.
As for the upcoming season of the show, there are plenty of rumors surrounding who will get cast — but none of them concern Demi. Dr. Joe Park from Tayshia Adams’ Bachelorette season is confirmed. And Heavy notes there’s speculation surrounding Noah Erb, Chasen Nick, Spencer Robertson, Serena Pitt, Chelsea Vaughn, Blake Hortsmann, Chris Randone, Victoria Fuller, Victoria Paul, Clay Harbor, Chris Bukowski, and Ed Waisbrot.
Demi’s stayed out of the Bachelor in Paradise rumor mill so far — and it could be because she’s busy with her other projects. She also recently talked about her negative experiences with Reality Steve, which might cause her to put some distance between herself and Bachelor Nation.
When is ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ coming back?
So, when can fans watch Bachelor in Paradise in 2021? Season 7 premieres on Aug. 16, 2021. For Bachelor Nation fans who don’t want to wait that long to get their fix, Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette premieres much earlier than the new Paradise. Thurston’s season airs June 7. Then, Michelle Young will take center stage as the next bachelorette. Her season will premiere sometime in fall 2021.
So, what is Demi’s future with Bachelor Nation if she doesn’t participate in Paradise? She may step away from all of it completely, or perhaps she’ll make appearances on the future seasons of The Bachelorette, as she’s made cameos in the past. We’ll have to wait and see what she decides.
