‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 7: These Are the Official Hosts Replacing Chris Harrison
Chris Harrison is officially done with Bachelor Nation, and new hosts are in for Bachelor in Paradise Season 7. The Twitter for Bachelor in Paradise revealed who the four new hosts of the show would be. Some are familiar faces to Bachelor Nation, and some are brand new. Here are who will be leading the summer dating show for its seventh season.
Chris Harrison announced on Instagram that he will no longer be part of ‘The Bachelor’ shows
The former host put all the speculation to end in an Instagram post in early June 2021.
“I’ve had a truly incredible run as host of The Bachelor franchise and now I’m excited to start a new chapter,” Harrison wrote in his caption. “I’m so grateful to Bachelor Nation for all of the memories we’ve made together. While my two-decade journey is wrapping up, the friendships I’ve made will last a lifetime.”
Many former contestants from the show shared messages of support to the ousted leader of the franchise. Ashley Iaconetti, Sean Lowe, JoJo Fletcher, Jason Mesnick, and more flooded Harrison’s comment section.
Iaconetti wrote in: “It will never be the same. Truly the end of an era. Thank you for all the years of hard work and love you put into the show. I have a lump in my throat writing this. Can’t wait to see your next move. I love you.”
Lowe commented: “It will never be the same. Love you buddy.”
Mesnick expressed: “Congrats on the run buddy. The general public doesn’t have any idea how much you helped us cast members deal with the behind the scenes of the TV world. Looking forward to seeing you soon.”
Who is hosting ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ 2021?
Amidst Harrison’s departure announcement, the Bachelor in Paradise Twitter account shared an update regarding the season 7 hosts. The tweet revealed that Tituss Burgess, Lance Bass, David Spade, and Lil Jon will take turns as host.
Lil Jon, clearly stoked about the role, retweeted the message onto his own account. He and Spade have been very vocal in the past about their love for Bachelor Nation. It will surely be exciting to see what they bring to the show when they each host.
Emmanuel Acho, Tayshia Adams, and Kaitlyn Bristowe replaced Chris Harrison on ‘The Bachelor’ shows
While BIP has a slew of new celebrity hosts, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette fared without Harrison for a bit of time already. The Bachelor: After the Final Rose, during Matt James’ season, had author Emmanuel Acho lead conversations among the contestants.
And for Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette, former leads Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe shared hosting duties while giving Thurston advice.
With Harrison officially out, though, the rotating door of guest hosts seems only temporarily while ABC searches for a permanent host for the franchise. Time will tell who ABC decides to go with — but for now, you can watch The Bachelorette weekly Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST.
