Viewers watched the couple’s romance blossom, despite a few road bumps throughout the season. Then the Prom King and Queen of Paradise got engaged in the finale. Now, Joe and Serena are sharing their plans for the future, including kids, marriage, and moving in together after BIP — here’s what they said.
Do Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile live together now after ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 7?
Serena and Joe might’ve gotten engaged in the Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 finale, but they have a few things to figure out together now. Currently, Joe lives in Chicago, Illinois, and Serena is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. When speaking on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Joe and Serena suggested they’ll move in together in the spring. But for now, they’re going back and forth between Chicago and Toronto.
“We have to figure out where we’re going to live together right away,” Joe said. “Not right away. But I have a lease that’s up in April, and we had talked about it. We are either going to try to possibly try New York together or split time between Chicago and Toronto.”
He continued, “For the time being, that’s what we are going to do — split time from Chicago and Toronto. But that’s going to be our next big step, moving in together.”
Then Serena noted that the move to New York made sense for them both “personally and professionally,” particularly because it was close to their home cities. She also pointed out why it’s easier to move between Chicago and Toronto right now.
“[New York is] kind of a bit of a neutral space where we’re both making a sacrifice to be there,” Serena said. “But Toronto and Chicago are both great cities. We both don’t have kids at the moment. So it’s pretty easy with our lifestyles to travel back and forth.”
When will Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt get married?
As expected, many Bachelor in Paradise fans are wondering when Joe and Serena will get married. But it looks like viewers will have to wait a while before the reality stars tie the knot.
Still speaking on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Joe revealed he’s looking forward to a “midrange, on the longer side” engagement with Serena. Then Serena shared what their plans look like right now.
“We’re not rushing down the aisle. But, I mean, we definitely feel confident in the fact that we want to be together,” she said. “It’ll just be nice to take a breath, date, live together, and then marriage will come down the line.”
Do Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile want kids together?
Now, it seems Bachelor in Paradise fans will have to wait a while before Serena and Joe have their wedding. And given their plans, the couple’s comments about future children will not surprise you. In an interview with Extra, Serena confirmed she wants to have kids with Joe. But it appears they don’t have plans to start a family anytime soon.
“I said very early on in the relationship, like, I want kids, and it’s a dealbreaker for me,” Serena said. “We definitely want marriage. We want the house, kids. That’s all gonna come for us. We just jumped ahead to the engagement. We’re kinda reeling it back in a little bit. We’re gonna do the live together thing first.”
Then Joe revealed that he wants two children, and Serena agreed.
“Yeah, he’s big on two, which I’m fine with,” she said. “So we’re good!”
The Bachelorette Season 18 premiere date is Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021.
