‘The Bachelor’ Fans Were Confused By Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan’s Update
On June 8, The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever! recapped Sean Lowe’s love story. The former bachelor is the only male lead to marry his final rose recipient, Catherine Giudici. And for many fans, Lowe’s journey was one worth the watch. Even so, The Greatest Seasons decided to interrupt the series premiere with an update on the latest bachelor, Peter Weber, and his new girlfriend, Kelley Flanagan. However, viewers weren’t exactly interested in the couple, especially since Weber and Flagan confirmed their relationship back in early May.
What happened on Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan on ‘The Bachelor’?
As you may know, Weber and Flanagan met before The Bachelor Season 24 began. Both parties just happened to be at the same hotel and apparently, sparks flew. So when Flanagan appeared on the ABC reality series, the pair continued where they left off. But that wasn’t enough to keep the relationship alive.
In the seventh week of The Bachelor, Weber decided to let Flanagan go. She was sent home and finished fifth overall. Then in the finale, Weber decided to propose to Hannah Ann Sluss. Nevertheless, the relationship fell apart when Weber realized he couldn’t give his fiancée his full heart.
After breaking things off with Sluss, Weber tried to pursue a relationship with his runner-up, Madison Prewett. But even so, Weber and Prewett decided to go their separate ways two days following the live finale.
A few weeks after The Bachelor wrapped, Weber and Flanagan were spotted together. Early on, they wouldn’t confirm or deny their relationship. Then on May 2, Weber posted a photo on Instagram, seemingly sharing the status. “You caught me. Let the adventure begin,” Weber captioned a photo of himself kissing Flanagan.

Throughout the start of The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever! on June 8, Harrison continuously teased an update on Weber, hinting he finally found love. Then in the middle of telling Lowe’s story, the host called Weber and they revealed he got back together with Flanagan.
When Flanagan first appeared on-screen, Harrison asked the attorney whether she questioned why Weber let her go on the show. But Flanagan did not throw the former bachelor under the bus.
“Chris, you saw me on the show,” she said. “Sometimes I got a little awkward and I struggled with opening up and I moved a little bit slower. I could see that he was frustrated with me and he had every right to be.”
She continued, “Right before I was sent home, I was telling him about how upset I was because I got my white sneakers dirty. And now, we laugh about it because he was like, ‘Kelley, you’re supposed to be telling me how you feel and all you’re saying is how upset that your sneakers are dirty.’”
Weber confirmed everything that happened on The Bachelor was “all water under the bridge.” So they have since moved on. But what does the couple have planned next? At first, Weber joked Flanagan would move into his parents’ house. But then he shared they have dreams to move to New York City.
“We are just really excited for the future,” Weber said. “We talked and we both have dreams about moving to New York City for a little bit and get that experience. Hopefully, fingers crossed, that’s in our future. And just enjoying each other and it’s been great.”
Weber’s mom, Barbara, also made a brief appearance. And she appears happy with the outcome. “It’s a dream come true,” she said. “I love her, I love her so much. We get along so great and it’s like the daughter that I’ve always wanted.”
Then Weber concluded, “I remember going into this, I wanted that love story more than anything. And I can honestly say that it worked for me in the end. So thank you, Bachelor Nation, for sticking by me through all my craziness. But it all worked out.”

When Weber and Flanagan appeared on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever, fans didn’t weren’t sure why the series delivered the update since the premiere was all about Lowe’s love story.
“This is Sean Lowe’s episode of the Bachelor sooooo why is Peter, Kelly and Barb on my screen,” a fan wrote on Twitter.
“I just wanted to watch The Bachelor GOAT without Peter appearing on my screen,” another fan tweeted. “How dare you do this to me Chris Harrison.”
Other fans were confused about why the episode teased the relationship between Flanagan and Weber as if no one knew they were already together.
“I love how Chris is pretending like it’s 2001 and social media doesn’t keep us updated on who Peter is dating, and who Sean married,” The Bachelorette’s Kaitlyn Bristowe wrote.
Meanwhile, other fans were happy for Weber and Flanagan.
“He had a very messy season but I’m glad he is smiling and he looks more sure of himself,” a fan wrote in the comments on YouTube.
“I’ve always thought Kelley suited him best,” another fan wrote. “A pilot and an attorney?? Oof.”
Regardless of how you feel about Weber and Flanagan’s announcement on The Bachelor, it seems everyone from the season is moving on. So cheers to that.
