‘The Bachelor’: Who Is Lexi Buchanan? This Contestant Sweeps Peter Weber Off His Feet on Night One
Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor begins on Monday, Jan. 6. And fans are ready to see which of the 30 women bring the fire. Of course, only a handful make an impression on the first night. And from what Chris Harrison has to say, Lexi Buchanan, the 26-year-old marketing coordinator from New York City, will be one to watch.
Who is Lexi Buchanan from Peter Weber’s season of ‘The Bachelor’?
According to Buchanan’s Bachelor profile on ABC, the “smart, independent, and fun” New Yorker isn’t originally from the Big Apple. But rather, she grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, even attending Florida State University.
Meanwhile, Buchanan’s bio revealed she was in a serious relationship with her boyfriend and they chose to move to NYC together. However, they split to pursue their separate passions. And although Buchanan seems to love her home state, she chose to stay in New York, as she “has too much sass for the suburb life.” But since then, Buchanan has worked as a marketing coordinator for a real estate company.
Nevertheless, when it comes to dating, Buchanan hasn’t found the right guy — only a “number of bad and mediocre dates around New York.” And while her profile suggests she believes “dating as a redhead is hard,” Buchanan has hope that “Peter will like to spice things up the way only a ginger girl can.”
Now, from the looks of Buchanan’s Instagram profile, the fiery redhead could potentially fit in with Weber’s lifestyle, as she seems to have the travel bug. Rather than promotional content from her appearance on The Bachelor, the marketing manager has a few photos from visits to Italy, Utah, and Los Angeles sprinkled through her feed.
That said, Buchanan has hinted at her Bachelor debut through a hilarious screenshot with her fellow cast member, Sydney Hightower.
“One week!!!” Buchanan wrote.
Chris Harrison says Lexi Buchanan ‘really impresses’ Peter Weber
On Dec. 16, Harrison officially unveiled all 30 women vying for Weber’s heart in The Bachelor Season 24. And although the franchise host couldn’t give away too many details past night one, it seems Buchanan easily makes an impression on the new bachelor — without taking things too far.
“Lexi has a really good entrance on night one in a way that really impresses Peter,” Harrison said in the broadcast. “Some girls do a crazy thing, outlandish thing, aggressive thing. She just did a cool thing. It really drove her way right into Peter’s heart on that first night. That’s Lexi.”
Meanwhile, Harrison described Buchanan as “smart, charming and clever.” He then reflected on her background, calling Buchanan a “Florida girl at heart” who “left the swampland to do the Sex and the City thing.”
Harrison also revealed the 26-year-old comes from a large family, as Buchanan is “one of six siblings.” And the host quickly noted that big families are a thing this season. But of course, this doesn’t come as a surprise, as Weber has been open about his close relationship with his own family.
When speaking with People, Weber explained he is most curious about a person’s family life when he gets to know them. So we’re sure Weber and Buchanan will have plenty to discuss.
“To me, that’s everything because I want a family of my own one day. And I think it’s important to find someone who shares those same values,” Weber said.
