‘The Bachelorette’: Becca Kufrin’s Recent Instagram Post Highlights Next Big Move After Garrett Yrigoyen Split
The Bachelorette Season 14 star Becca Kufrin is making major moves following her split with Garrett Yrigoyen. For the past few weeks, the 30-year-old has been spotted in numerous locations, from visiting family in Minnesota to filming in La Quinta for The Bachelor franchise. Meanwhile, some hawk-eyed fans noticed the former reality star moved out of her apartment in Carlsbad, California. And now, Kufrin’s most-recent Instagram post confirmed she’s living in LA.
Becca Kufrin announces breakup with ‘Bachelorette’ final pick
In June 2020, Yrigoyen supported law enforcement in a lengthy Instagram post amid the Black Lives Matter movement. Kufrin was openly against the post. But at the time, the former bachelorette was unable to update fans on her relationship status.
“For those who are curious about my relationship with Garrett at this point, all I can say right now is I don’t know,” Kufrin said on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast published on June 16.
Then on Sept. 2, Kufrin announced her breakup with Yrigoyen over two years after their engagement.
“With a heavy heart, Garrett and I have come to the loving conclusion to end our engagement,” Kufrin wrote on Instagram. “All that we will share is that we still have nothing but love and respect for one another even though we’ve decided to go down our own separate paths.”
She later added, “We hope that everyone can allow us grace, respect and the time to heal our hearts as we navigate this next chapter in our lives.”
Meanwhile, Kufrin confirmed she spent the past few weeks away from her ex-fiancé to “gain some clarity” alongside family and friends.
“We were really just trying to take time and gain some clarity as to what was the next best step in our lives, whether that was together or as individuals,” she said.
Becca Kufrin shares her move to LA on Instagram
In early 2019, Kufrin moved out of Minnesota to be with Yrigoyen in California. The couple also adopted a dog, Minno, together. So when Bachelor Nation fans saw Kufrin and Minno in a new setting after visiting family, fans wondered whether the former bachelorette moved out. Then on Sept. 3, Kufrin unveiled the big news on her Instagram.
“Hello Los Angeles,” Kufrin wrote on the social media platform. “I can’t wait to get to know you once this pandemic totally stops cramping my style! Spoiler: I’m officially an LA resident.”
Kufrin also revealed her decision to move was a “last-minute decision,” as she signed a lease in an unfamiliar area. Then in the comments, the podcast host called herself “an official valley girl.” But even so, it seems Kufrin is ready for whatever life has in store for her.
“I’m here to embrace this new adventure and put down some roots in the City of Angels during this next chapter in my life,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, Bachelor Nation alums congratulated Kufrin on her move, including Cassie Randolph, Ashley Iaconetti, and Katie Morton. Andi Dorfman, who recently moved to LA, also seemed excited about Kufrin’s new journey. She also hinted at a mini-Bachelorette reunion when Kaitlyn Bristowe appears on Dancing With the Stars in mid-September.
“So many girls nights ahead!” Dorfman wrote. “I cannot wait! Now if only @therachellindsay would finally get here. Also, I’m thinking standing wine night to watch @kaitlynbristowe.”
While Kufrin says she made a last-minute decision to live in LA, it’s clear she has plenty of Bachelor Nation alums to support her in the new city. But whatever happens next, it seems Kufrin is moving forward. So cheers to that.
