Recent reports suggested the Bachelor Nation couple were on a break. Then on Jan. 19, Moss confirmed his breakup with Crawley two months after their engagement aired on the ABC reality series.

Crawley and Moss hit it off right away in The Bachelorette Season 16 premiere. The moment Moss stepped out of the limo, Crawley felt like she just met her “husband.” Then in the fourth episode, Crawley picked Moss as her final rose. Moss also proposed to Crawley, and they got engaged.
After leaving The Bachelorette Season 16, Crawley and Moss opened up about their engagement and future plans together.
“What I love about Dale is that he isn’t scared about the future,” Crawley told Rachel Linday and Becca Kufrin on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast in November 2020. “I talk about babies all the time, and he’s like, ‘Yeah, that’s what I want.’ It doesn’t scare him.”
Crawley and Moss also revealed their plans to move to Sacramento together.
“We were house hunting today and picking out the area we want to live in,” Crawley said.
Then Moss added, “As long as we’re together, for me, that’s all that matters. We’re building a life, we’re building a foundation. We want to have a home here.”

In January 2021, breakup rumors swirled about Crawley and Moss after multiple publications reported that the couple decided to take some time apart.
“Dale and Clare are technically still together but there are serious issues they are working through,” a source told Us Weekly on Jan. 19. “They’re in communication but on a break.”
Meanwhile, E! News claimed The Bachelorette alums have been arguing over their lifestyle preferences. The publication also reported that Moss “feels like he’s rushing into something he’s unsure about.”
“Clare and Dale have been fighting a lot recently,” a source told E! News. “They are mainly in disagreement over lifestyle preferences. Dale wants to be in a lively city and focus on his career, and Clare is rooted in Sacramento to help care for her mom. It’s been very tense recently between them.”
The source continued, “They are both still getting to know each other and figuring it all out. They’ve decided to take some time apart for now… They are still figuring out the logistics of their relationship and if they will stay together.”
Dale Moss confirms the Clare Crawley split on Instagram
On Jan. 19, Moss confirmed his split from Crawley in a post on Instagram, revealing the choice to break up the engagement was the “healthiest decision” for both parties.
“I wanted share with you all that Clare and I have decided to go our separate ways,” Moss wrote. “We appreciate the love and support we’ve received from so many people, but this is the healthiest decision for both of us at this time.”
The Bachelorette contestant added, “We strongly believe in leading with love and always remaining true to oneself – something our families have taught and instilled in us throughout our lives. We only hope the best things for one another.”The Bachelor Season 25 airs Monday nights on ABC.
